      I am exactly sure, a lot comes down to the motherboard manufacturers effort regarding of a well made bios which apparently still hasn’t came out yet in a lot of cases. One thing for sure, this CPU is failed in 4 months, once i get a replacement from Intel, I will just sell it.

      Have you started the RMA process? Are you going to ask for cross shipping or get a replacement CPU and do a Standard replacement?

  • @tannhaeuser
    @tannhaeuser 8 дней назад +1

    I am right now caught in this extremely annoying RMA process and it is inconceivable how affected customers are being pestered even further by this. If AMD technology wasn't so bad, I would have switched sides. One of the worst customer experiences I've ever made. It is absolutely clear that Intel is not concerned with its customers, but only with averting further damage to itself.

      I am sorry, it is painful for sure, I was super lucky because I still had my 12900 k cpu so I was not without a PC.
      Are you staying with Intel?

  • @DreamWolf350
    @DreamWolf350 3 месяца назад +2

    But what happens if you can't send your defective CPU to them but you ask to be sent the new one?

    • @Scott.The.IT.Guy.
      @Scott.The.IT.Guy.  3 месяца назад

      You mean the cross-shipping option the advanced warranty replacement?
      So, in that case, before Intel sends the new CPU out, they will charge your credit card with the full purchase price. Once they receive your failed or failing CPU, they will release that charge and you get your money back If they do not receive your faulty CPU, they will just keep your money.

    I want to rma my i9-14900k but I’m not sure if they will send me a new sealed one or not. I’m having blue screens constantly so I might just give in. I have over 17000 report logs 😅.

    • @Scott.The.IT.Guy.
      @Scott.The.IT.Guy.  24 дня назад

      I am sorry:( They usually send a new, factory sealed one, since these are not repairable, therefore they can’t refurbish them especially the 14900k is being a flagship.

  • @pabloottawa
    @pabloottawa 4 месяца назад +3

    In your opinion, do you think Intel will approve my RMA request?
    My 14900k was causing a bunch of BSODs and lock ups on all of the motherboard BIOS default profiles when I first got it to for my new build. Even on the latest BIOS update it was running at high voltage and high temps under load using some benchmarks. It's under control now on a light overclock of 5.4 on all Pcores but will still lock up or BSOD on occasion. It was much worse when I firs got it.

    • @Scott.The.IT.Guy.
      @Scott.The.IT.Guy.  4 месяца назад +1

      I am sure they will, I don’t think they have time to do much of the troubleshooting. Go to the support page and open a ticket there. If it’s crashing with the latest bios settings to default, I don’t see why they would have any problem replacing it.
      I just got the replacement cpu from Intel 2 days ago.

      And I got denied after asking twice... I even offered to pay for the replacement beforehand. I am pissed off now, Intel seems bent on tarnishing their own image by making the RMA process as painful as possible... Now my only choice is to buy a new cpu, send in the defective one and flip the replacement CPU on the 2nd hand market. • @Scott.The.IT.Guy.
      @Scott.The.IT.Guy.  18 часов назад

      I paid a premium for a flagship CPU and the CPU crashed 6 to 8 times a day without overclocking. |
      installed every single bios update related to this, changed different settings based on jayztwocents videos and it did not fix the issue.
      This is what the warranty is for. If you are ok doing workarounds that is great. I had this CPU in the a Dell XPS 8960 where you can not change a single thing in Bios and the CPU was crashing there to the point where I could not ran a signle thing.
