Constantly improving upon your World Record. I admire the determination. Watching you complete the prime series at such fast paces inspired me to practice speed running myself. And although I’ll never get to your level, you got me into something I love and I couldn’t thank you enough.

awesome work! I remember Echoes being a challenge for me in a normal playthrough almost 20 years ago. I remember as soon as I beat Dark Samus I was never going to play it again, but seeing this speedrun has got me eager to play it once more
Congrats on this WR! MP2 is my favorite game of all time and even though I don't really speedrun it, I still love watching runs of this game because of how insanely it can be broken (Screw Attack for the win baby). Amazing run, here's to another PB!

Congrats on the new WR! Crazy to see just how broken the SA is on even the final DS fight! What hardware did you use to upscale the video signal so cleanly to 1080p?
In OBS Studio the game is outputting at 720x480, then I upscale it exactly to 1440x1080 and then I crop out the overscan black borders, add brightness settings etc, then once I'm done I take the recording to Sony Vegas Pro, take out Livesplit, chat and whatnot and render it in 1920x1440. (Yes, the video is in 1440p but RUclips takes a while to make it show up...) EDIT: Unfortunately I later realized that I didn't actually set it to render in 1440p, but 1080p on accident... bummer.
And I use this capture card www.avermedia.com/us/product-detail/C985 with a Mayflash HDMI Wii Adapter. It's definetly not the best way to capture but it's good enough for me.

I'm confused as to what happened at 11:40. It just kinda looks like you teleported. I'm seeing a lot of new stuff in this run compared to the last speedrun of prime 2 I saw, and I'm wondering if this is a new glitch.
@Andy G. Very likely; since in game programming, a usual way of having an object be “carried” is by assigning it to the same transform as the moving object. When the transform is reset, child objects (Samus in this case) get relocated along with it.
I use janky speedruns as a sort of meditation. The sequences, phases, etc. I admire your skill, but I'm not that invested in speedrunning as a sport? This is like professional soccer to me. Bravo.
If you told 12yo me that you could start a new game and get to Sanctuary Fortress in less than 10 minutes I wouldn’t have believed you. This was awesome

It's done to delay the load of the big room, pausing a bunch like that does that. It's needed because otherwise there is an invisible wall blocking the way (It's the super missile laser barrier collision, yeah it goes THAT far down for whatever reason. Thx retro studios) so then I get into position past the barrier before the room loads.
This makes KirbyMastah's run look bad. How did you do grand abyss first try and get screw attack without the cutscene. Skipping quadraxis from a different direction and barely living. And also defeating chikka adult by just running in the middle. Explain.
Even now watching this again I remember how painful all the loading scenes got. Just when you went 100%. All the constant portal transitions. Can't wait to see this game running on an ssd.

I love that this run exposes the Energy Module does absolutely nothing, and Samus can just inherently carry a planet's energy completely unassisted.

Really what you're seeing is just 480p upscaled to 1080p, the only reason for that is that RUclips allows for a higher bitrate on higher resolutions.
