The EPM1’s were revised quite some time ago, and are much better now. The first few batches of them had much more powerful springs in them and genuinely did have issues destroying speedloaders and genuine Odin’s. I bought 4 from the original batch and left them 3/4loaded for about a week, then set the clutch up and they have worked flawlessly since. If you want the MTW mags to fit, you can file/cut a section of the Odin body away, and then they will fit with no problem.
Sold my epm1 for £32.50 + £2.95 p&p as I was struggling with feeding issues. And rebuilding my Odin they sat in the cupboard Gathering dust I saw them selling for £35 🤑
My 3 older EPM1s required breaking in, (if you filled them all the way you’d have small dents in the last few BBs where the Odin had to force them in). My 2 newer ones were great straight out of the box, I believe they’ve revised the spring to be honest. My EPM1-S mags (170rnd) of all ages were all great out of the box as well.
Its the old ones that are a pain as the old springs in the old epm was tougher then a m120 spring but 2024 they've definitely weakened the spring strength so you can fill them
If you do plan on using the emp1s with the Odin I do advise changing the feed wheel inside as the teeth will get worn down quickly even with the clutch adjusted and mag broken in there’s a guy on eBay who sells a much stronger and better feed wheel. I’ve got the upgraded feed wheel in my Odin and I haven’t had any problems
if you unload into the odin speedloader a lot, you might benefit from printing yourself an easy odin unloader lid. A lot of people forget that their knock-offs speedloader isn't an odin, and therefore not necessarily as good. You can smack the replacement odin insides into them, but still not the same quality.
Hi James TBH I use knock of clone Odin loader with my epm 1 had to leave them loaded for two weeks to loosen the spring like other people have said Keep up with the excellent informative quality airsoft content bestest from Scotland
I used to use EPM1s with my MTW. But switched to standard EPMs both for aesthetic and the fact that even with an Odin Speedloader it was grinding away the parts on the inside. Had to replace the parts on the inside with PTS parts.
I use epm1 and odin, my speedloader had to be shimmed in order to prevent bbs to chew up the weel. I also notice that some brands of bbs can cause missfeeds. No issues whith bio geg
The Epm with the fake bullets has a little red indicator at the bottom of the bullets to indicate full. I also destroyed the internal wheel of a new oden filling an epm1
That’s sucks bro, did you do the bedding-in process on the EMP mag first? Always fill these mags with a regular speed loader 3 times first, before using an Oden.
epm1 is a gamble, they will work, just leave them loaded for a week-month to soften the spring. worth it for the cap. my epm1s had to be loaded for a month to get it to feed full auto/i forgot about them being loaded. they also like low dwell high psi for full auto. My Odin died but i load 6 twice per round. Both oem MTW mag suck. hex - bottom right corner qc issue that stops the follower / epmmtw - follower twists sideways 1/4 from the top of the mag.
I use the epm short mags on my mtw Dmr, the 170 round ones. not having the empty mag detection doesn’t really bother me, I know when its low because of the fuel gauge on the mag, And being able to prone much easier is soo good
EPM1's are the first magazine to introduce midcap syndrome to me. I used to only run G&P midcaps in my DMR and DSG with no issues. EPM1 really hurt my nozzle return, so they're sitting in time out, fully loaded, till their springs start being reasonable...
@@georgin.georgiev6392 That's a different test that I'm fighting... hi i've used the specna 140 midcap mag for my wolverine m4 and they feeds perfectly i seen some problem with realy old mag put the pts mag are kinda expensive and not worth (except for the ebbr m4 they are realy nice too expensive but realy nice) but might be good if you are too use realy hight speed replica

I use EPM1 shorts because my Noveske N4 I have a HPA adaptor to use AEG mags... a GBB with AEG capability a win in my book :)
I use EPMs and EPM1s with Odin. Have to leave EPM1s loaded for 3 weeks to soften springs

As you said my proper odin has never failed filling my epm1s the knock off only mannaged to fill a mag and a half before failing
Epm1 destroyed my Odin speed loader

Nice barrel hack for emptying your mags
It was a viewer who mentioned it in the comments on a previous video. Very good for getting them back in the bottle.

Loading and unloading does more for breaking them in than leaving them loaded.
You really need a Vangaurd mag loader.

It is a known issue that emp-1 mags struggle to feed on full auto on the MTW. I have an MTW and have had the same issue.
The Epm with the fake bullets has a little red indicator at the bottom of the bullets to indicate full. I also destroyed the internal wheel of a new oden filling an epm1

you've gotta adjust your odin's clutch specifically for EPM-1s, it's on odininnovation's troubleshooting page
I did this and the disc on the inside had grinded away. Had to replace them with PTS parts. Just went with standard EPMs afterwards. @@MadDogCommunity
Odin clones fail to feed it, you'll crack the feeding teeth real quick on those. But original one is kinda MADE to fill it.

I had 6 epm1 mags around a year ago, with a REAL odin, and they 100% were awful to fill. At the end you were grinding away

Get a better hop chamber. MAXX or Silent Industries

My gen 1 was very fussy. My goto are lonex 200's,
Wonder how similar the EPM’s are to the KWA MS120C’s. They look pretty much identical.
The empty mag detection on the follower is the issue
you buy M4 Mid-Cap Magazine (220 BBs) from nov €28
so funny how u say 25 a mag is expensive. in sweden they are 65
Im not saying 25 a mag is expensive. Im used to buying gbb mags which are pricey. But for a midcap i thought £35 was a bit on the pricey side.

£35 is just extortionate they were expensive when they were £25
