Sierra Online Logos from 1989-1999 - NintendoComplete

- A compilation of opening Sierra logo screens that appeared when loading nearly every one of the company's games through the 1990s. These were all recorded directly from an old PC running them natively (no emulation or virtual machines). The music was all directly recorded from a SoundBlaster AWE32.
Come on, the famed super-stylized mountain graphic, buzzy bass layered with progressively higher running arpeggios until everything hits the final highest tone, embellished with the ding-dong chime bits?
You know you remember it. And you know you smile every time you hear it :)

Ahh man Siera Games. They made some memorable games in my childhood :D
Hell yes, man, I remember they were about the only company in my kid mind that could even begin to compare to Nintendo.
1:43 Let's be honest, this Installer Theme gives everybody of us some chills, doesn't it? ^^
0:32 4:00 Same with these two.
1:43
Phew! Sierra!
Jobel's Desktop Stripper
I came here for that... What a memory, lol!
That monster came from The Incredible Machine and then Sierra used that character for the intros until the Nascar game
that monster sure gets his ass handed to him in the sierra intro for hunter hunted. hahah
Yep that got me directly in the nostalgia. Man, I am old...
There's something so simple and haunting about the Phantasmagoria intro. My personal favourite.
1:09 Counter-Strike also had that Sierra logo from 1999. Got gosebumps when I heard it startup!
And half life.
And swat 3
Valve
2:07 King's Quest VI for Windows is the best
1:09. That intro though, that takes me back to the good old CS 1.5 days :). Man i wanna be a kid again :D.
For me, the Phantasmagoria one is the best. Especially now that I have some decent speakers and can really appreciate that bass sweep.
4:00-4:06 was always my favourite intro tune, so epic. Such a classy company.
My god ... I can listen to it all night long with a big smile on my face ...
childhood memories ...
There was also Woodruff and the Schnibble of Azimuth. It came out in 1995.
The Jingle Version from 1995 was reused until 1998 on Some Sierra games including NASCAR Pinball.
"*tap-tap-tap-tap-tap* Phew... SI-Erra"
Yes, I have the sound still in my mind :-)
I remember only seeing him on Hoyle puzzle games 2004 if you press the incredible machine even more contraptions
@@taylorbarnum4865 He also appears on the box art of 3D Ultra Cool Pool.
I love this. Do more old game companies.
Thanks! Any other companies that you had in mind?
The one I remember most fondly was the Sierra logo from Hunter Hunted, where the little guy comes out saying "Phew! Sierra" and is then smashed against the wall by the beast protag
this is incredible!
Nice little touch with the Phantasmagoria variant...
Yeah, I always loved that one. My dad had bought some big computer speakers (at least, big for 1995) right before he bought that game, and the Sierra logo made the subwoofer shake the entire wall. It was pretty epic.
Wow goosebumps, makes me wanna play a sierra game!!
01:50 Came here looking for exactly the 1995 one...thanksssssss
i found this while watching the space quest historian - those logos take me back when sierra met something
2:06 - my favorite logo
It would have been cool if they were in order, but still cool.
seeing these logos really bring back memories to this day though I still have not gotten the chance to play "Phantasmagoria".
They're great, aren't they? You should give Phantasmagoria a go. it's really easy, I remember beating it in a couple of days back when it was new with no hints. It's probably the easiest adventure Sierra ever did.
NintendoComplete
cool
hi
Then they improved with Phantasmagoria 2. Great game!
I never realized how many of the games I played as a kid were Sierra... wow!
omg my childhood just flashed before my eyes
i played so many of these titles, its crazy
+sOmebOdyrand0m So you weren't contacted by Sierra? No congratulations? They should have given you some trophy loot.
My favorite one is the LSL 7 one.
Conquest of the Longbows, Quest for Glory... so many missing.
Hey! Have you done a playthrough of Shivers yet?
Hoyle! I wasn't allowed to play it as a kid.
1:10 this logo was also in the original CD-Rom version of Half-Life.
Why are the fanfares giving me goosebumps?
+Rodrigo Rafael Tutaya Mena Because they're awesome?
Because it have a huge buildup that's why.
4:00 they used the installer fanfare and also It has an extended version in TLMODB,MMGD and A sierra discovery game
Is it just me or does the intro at the beginning and at 2:08 resemble the sounds when Adam Sandler took a shot with his golf club in slow motion in the Happy Gilmore movie :P
Absolutely love the first one, and the version at 2:08! They sound like music from Enix games on the SNES. Lol
I also like how the Sierra Discovery Series logo looks, and the Leisure Suit Larry 6 & 7 versions are hilarious. I was only familiar with the space logo at 1:08 because of Half-Life, of course.
You're version with the SNES samples is pretty damn cool, I must admit.
NintendoComplete Thanks! :D
NintendoComplete Oh, yeah. I also finished a short version like the one at 0:49 and I'm also inclined on doing one like the version at 0:32
Dr. Mario No kidding? I'll check them out, definitely
R
1:50 Sierra from 1995 and the little monster is the one I remember (saludos desde Chile)
I always loved the Quest for Glory 1 intro, but very similar to most of these.
I have the song like in Freddy Pharkas Frontier Pharmacist Disk version anchored as a joyful type of feeling I guess from when I was a child. I believe that was the same version they used on Space Quest 4.
I remember chuckling when I first played SQ6 as well.
Oh man, I loved freddy pharkas. Peerless, earless, and free lol
The one I really wish was in here is Trophy Bass 3D/Trophy Bass 4's alternate "PHEW! SIERRA!" endings haha.
Um wheres the Hunter hunted sierra Logo and the Cybergladiators Logo?
2:21 I can't say for certain what sound card that is, but it sounds like Adlib
Whatever sound card it is, those intros sound awesome
THEIR GAMES WERE BRUTAL. THEY CAN GO TO DEVELOPER HELL
Rude, much?
The Need for Speed in 1995 PC game had a really cool Sierra logo I'm surprised it's not in this video.
1:09 feelsgoodman
Phew, Sierra!
I'm getting the Sierra Entertainment 3D printed logo in 1 week!
0:01 Which Games Had the sierra logo? Let's find out!
Nice
Where is the little monster pulling the logo in the screen?
PHEW SIERRA!
Sorry for saying, but where are The Incredible Machine and the Cyberstorm variant? :O
Larry III was "Passionate Patti in PURSUIT of the Pulsating Pectorals", not "Case" !
2:06 the first datamosh logo reveal in history
You forgot to put the intro that was used in Empire Earth ='(
PS: Look it up as "Empire Earth Sierra Studios Splash Screen"
It would be cool if a Super Mario game for the Playstation (PSX) was published by Sierra Interactive and licensed by Nintendo (Also developed by Nintendo).

1:09 is the best one :)
1:10 The "StarCrafty" one.
Nearly every? Missing quite a few.
There was a struggle back in the day....who made the best adventure games...Lucasarts or Sierra?
MEMORIES FROM INCREDIBLE MACHINE :DDDD
1:44
I remember this from take a break pinball
Mind if I use this video in a Sierra retrospective I'm writing in my blog?
+Marco Rocha Sure, go ahead :)
Thx a lot. the blog is retrofreakreviews.wordpress.com, but I'm only posting it by the end of the month. See ya.
Marco Rocha That was a fun read, thanks!
After the first one I half expect to hear the title theme to King's Quest VI.
Sierra presents GIMME THAT PRESENTS
QfG 4 had a nice take on the logo.
If I remember right, it was the sort colorful one, right?
No, it looked like a moon.
Extra Intro of Sierra:
(2000) Half-Life: Counter-Strike 1.6
(1998) Half-Life
(Present) Sierra and Valve and Turtle Rock Studios intro
I have a game from sierra i think it was Pharao (the Original Version)
No space quest?
Space Quest 6 is there.
Did I miss it, or is there no love for the Incredible machine monster dragging the logo in and saying "Si-er-ra"?
2:21. No contest.
Omg, where is Half-Life Sierra's intro? There is the best
First time I saw it was in the mid 90s. (idk what game it was, but what I remember was it having a female protagonist who screams in terror if you accidentally bump into a monster)
2:03
heir today gone tomorrow
sierra
0:33 Nice try Sierra, but it's not complete without the full ding-dong.
Sierra's back! www.sierra.com
1:17 Intro from Half life 1998
What, no Arcanum? 😢 That one was the best. Pew pew pew pew pew peuahuahahaough

hi
0:40
The one where the logo forms in space is also on Half Life
It was. I was kinda annoyed that I spent the time installing HL on such an old pc just to remember that lol
And also in SWAT 3 :D
Yeah. It's too bad that they ditched the classic tune for the later releases!
And also the logo appears while you start nascar racing 4
NintendoComplete Yeah, they ditch the ditty and never returned it
Something something DOS something else square pixels
1:10 barf
Love god and love all people. 😊Believe in the gospel Jesus Christ for Jesus Christ shed his blood and died for the sins of the world and he was buried and rose again from the dead three days later. For Jesus Christ God almighty and the flesh and if you believe in the gospel you are spiritually reborn into the family of God.
