Well, Full Metal Jacket drill instructor was a real drill instructor. I personally wouldn't want a part 2 at this point because they are probably going to frag it up. I would like a movie in this style however.

I could see a sequel now where maybe one of the kids in this movie is grown up and having problems with their in a military school and they call Sargent Pain in help with a new generation
What I love about Payne is that, HE has a limit on what to do a kid/teen. And later on when you see the way Alex's step father treats him. Payne steps in between them and says one of my favorite lines in the movie: "If you hit the kid again. I'll do more than salute you".
That's also why Alex wasn't totally afraid to be hit by Major Payne, he put up with it enough at home, he figured "eff it" I think that's also why Alex can't stand Payne, he originally sees him as another bully.
"One, don't you feel dumb! Two, look at you! Three, you ever talk about me behind my back again ill stomp you in the ground!" One of the best parts in a comedy ever.
One of the best scenes in comedy ever! I love how Stone is willing to take the punishment for the whole squad and is the guy everyone naturally turns to when the chips are down, so these reasons are why Major Payne decides to make him squad leader instead of Dotson. Plus, when we see that Dotson just shouts at the cadets and is always trying to please the superior officer (up until the dress punishment), it is clear that Dotson is no true leader.
He willingly took punishment but got rewarded for courage. He wasn’t afraid to face Payne but cared about his crew more than what he thought he had coming.
2:35 - Something that some people might miss: Payne is a trained military soldier. In war he has permission to use whatever means necessary to achieve his objective; such as striking enemy soldiers, killing enemy soldiers, etc. But here he's up against a civilian, so the rules are different. He cannot use physical force, except as a means of self-defence. So when he insults Bam Bam Bigelo the Biker, he gets the exact result he was hoping for, which is why he seems happier afterwards. He now is legally allowed to strike back. 6:09 - And as you find out later on, Stone can stand before even someone like Payne, and be completely unafraid of receiving physical abuse. But then of course, even after all the bad-ass shit you've seen Payne do throughout the movie. Even the stuff that could be considered downright sadistic; he's still unwilling to hit a child.
Another thing they miss. While he's most likely not one. A lot of Bikers are former military. Hell's Angels started out as former WWII Pilots. So needless to say Stone would have had to find one that didn't serve because the others would have said no. Not just out of respect for the military, but a lot of them at this point are 'Nam Vets, they probably served along side Payne personally in the war while he was serving or at least know him and his batshit reputation. While Bikers are tough MFs, even they know better than to mess with Payne without cause.
@Shanethefilmmaker and they would have told Stone that there is a method to Payne's madness. Like, we all hated getting screamed at in Basic, but overall, it teaches you how to handle being overwhelmed as best you can

my childhood was a major pain
It was a major part of a lot of oif/oef combat Marines' upbringing. The Corps wouldnt be what it is today without this movie,
“I heard you couldn’t cut it in the REAL man’s military!” 😂 Live that line.
Highly underrated movie
Heck no
Suddenly I feel like watching this movie again 😂
He was a wrestler appeared in Major Payne FEE FI FOO FUM WHAT BEANSTALK YOU EALL FROM 😂😂 THE SECOND LINE WAS MY FAVORITE WHEN HE SAID "I THOUGHT YOU NOT GONNA HIT ME IN THE FACE WHAT YOU CALLING ME A LIAR" 😂😂😂
"And what's your damage muscle head?! You slow, stupid or just plain deaf?!" "Yes Sir, he actually is deaf." "Do you read lips?" "Let me break it down for ya bra, if you don't answer me when I speak to you, I'm gonna put my foot......... " dang they should have made a part 2 to this!
17 year old me in Basic Training way back in Nineteen Eighty-[mumble] just seized up a little bit when Payne says, "Ah gonna make you boys **strong** ..." lol!
Bam Bam Bigelow!! I forgot he was in this movie.
Too many lines to quote this whole movie is 🔥
I think in the German dub he said: “Don’t be so impatient!” Instead of “You calling me a liar?”
Wish they made a war version for major payne, I wanna see him in battle.
Bro l'm not joking this guy makes me laugh every time! 😂😂😂😂
This movie might have the most/really good one liners in movie history
God! Its been so many years! I forgot how awesome this was!
"Whats your name Bushwick Bill", "no let me guess you Snoop Diggitity Dogg". Lmao 👌🏽
@0:45 "Let me guess, you snoop diggy dog" he says with golden teeth in his own mouth.
One of the best comedies, love this movie.
Me too.
One of my favorite movies. Damon does really good acting.
Actually, if the biker was a vet. they would've had a beer together. This is one of the best comedies ever!
It's one of the best films I've ever seen It's amazing ❤
My favorite part is when he takes care of the monster in the closet with extreme prejudice
If he's in there, he ain't happy
My favorite part too
Yep my fave part too.
Such a good movie I have it on VCR
The Wayans brothers are all absolute legends.
Listen to the disneyesque music added during the fight scene. It's amazing, why they removed it from films after is beyond me.
Always loved this movie! Damon Wayans is amazing in 'The Last Boy Scout' too where he plays against Bruce Willis. And that's a great movie too, by the way - so watch it!
"Boy! I am two seconds from being on you like white on rice in a glass of milk on a paper plate in a snow storm!"
.
Oh he done made Payne mad!
Despite how the squad thought of him at first he just wanted to make them better.....plus it was one hell of a funny movie.
I watched this when I was a kid 20+ years agooo LOL 😮
Love this movie. Grew up watching it and it brings back good memories 🥹
This movie is beautiful. I loved it.
Scott "Bam Bam" Bigelow... respected by his peers as a talented professional RIP
A guy I knew at work also had a part time gig working security at the New Haven Coliseum. As the venue often hosted WWE (WWF at the time) events, he got to know some of the wrestlers personally. He knew I was a Bam Bam Bigelow fan. In 1995, I was in the hospital to have a heart valve replaced. I was surprised when I had a visit from Bam Bam in my room. Besides giving me an autographed picture, he sat down and we talked for about twenty minutes. That's the kind of guy Scott was. RIP.
Rest In Peace Scott "Bam Bam" Bigelow ((1961-2007)) he deserve to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame
They do not induct druggies. 👎👎

@03:01 "don't gimme that billy jack 🐂💩"
🤣🤣
Me, 30 years later, just finding out that billy jack is a movie and finding the scene on yt.
This has to be Damon's best role ever. Even after all these years, it;s still a great movie
"You callin me a lair"😂
Such a masterpiece can't stop watching it again and again
