Okay so the thing is that there were supposed to be 2 extra NightSprings DLC episodes. One called "Cold Case" and the other one called "Altered World Event". In Cold Case you were supposed to play as Alex Casey, but as you might know, the voice actor James Mccaffrey passed away due to cancer. James wasn't able to complete the work he was supposed to do, so they cut his episode. The Altered World Event episode was probably going to be an episode where you play as FBC agent Kieran Estevez. And since in the main story Estevez and Casey sort of got together at the end, Alex Casey was probably going to have a role as a side character in her episode as well. Just like Jesse Faden and Tim Breaker both showed up in eachother's episodes. But yeah, they scrapped both these episodes because of James' death presumably and they didn't want to finish these episodes without him. Maybe they will still release the episodes eventually, just like they are still producing the Max Payne 1 & 2 remakes without him. It really sucks we only got 3 out of the 5 episodes we should have gotten but this does explain why the DLC is so short. I just wanted to let you all know a bit more context and maybe, just maybe they just postponed the 2 missing episodes to figure out how to respectfully finish them without James' help.
I mean, how did you NOT know that Night Springs would be basically like a twilight zone like presentation? Anyway, yeah, I mean it as a cute little experience l, but the gameplay aspect itself…was incredibly tedious, blowing the F out of enemies as rose was kinda cathartic I won’t lie, the combat in 2/3 was even worse, i have hopes the next dlc might be a little better, well see, but hey, $7.5 for 3 hours ain’t too bad.
Oh, I guess I worded it a bit poorly. The presentation style did not surprise me but I was expecting it to focus more on Alan. Something similar to American Nightmare where he gets trapped inside of an episode of Night Springs.
@@iamdmcBecause the 15 dollar package includes 2 DLCs, of which Night Springs is one of them. 15 ÷ 2 = 7,50. So both DLCs both cost 7,50 you just buy both in a package and have to wait until the second one is released
Way too short, nothing but re-used locations, mechanics, and gameplay, half-assed loredump in the third act. It's kinda unbelievable to think they spent the past couple months on just this. I REALLY hope the lake house is the best game dlc that has ever existed bc even for the low price of the expansion, it's disappointing at best.
It’s a cute little snack before we get the main dlc eventually. The only problem, is that it’s WAY SHORT! In my opinion, they should’ve made it more repayable. With like challenges or leaderboards.
It was short but it was fun and I like the way they went with it. I hope the next one that is coming in October will be a bit more in line with the game.
@@GrizzlyatomzI think they refer to 16 Is the price for the two DLC, this One AND the other that no One knows about It yet, so in that case you Will spend 16 but this DLC only cost 8, the other half Is for the next DLC
yes and no, that was a full game (it has a conclusive ending) , and its based on a nightspring tv show (or barry's nightmare) this has the same premise, but are not full games (more like teasers for future games either control 2, alan wake 3 or a new ip to replace quantum) this dlc's end in cliffhangers.
Just made a review of that one, you can check it out. In short, I enjoyed it more. I still think the full 20€ price for the deluxe is bit much but for 10€, it's worth it if you are a fan of the larger Remedy-universe and not just AW2.
I think that for the price it was a good deal. I'm wondering which puzzle you couldn't figure out from Time Breaker, because it's everything pretty straight forward? Was the one of the corridors? At least you're showing that when you say it in the video.
3:22 The main reason they couldn’t use Jack Joyce for the name is because of copyright, Remedy lost the rights to the game so, they had to come up with a brand new idea to reference quantum break. I like what they did with the breaker stuff because I *love* that game to pieces. However the price and how short it is (Persona 3 the answer as well.) makes this way to damn expensive for me to really experience this title. I’m hoping the Lake Expansion improves many of the things I felt that was wrong with this expansion. I need more Barry wheeler and more original saga. Not the shit sweet baby had in mind. Fuck SBI.
I already played the 2 first chapters, it was very short and not worthy, I though it was a more relevant stories than just fun times with the three of them
It was amazing, but I felt like there really should have been ONE more small section with another character. IMO, it should have been a very small section with Darling.
@@SensibleMax No, the right combo is in order. Not a big fan of fan service content, so this DLC was more of a miss for me, especially because of how short and easy it was. There was little of challenge in it and gameplay didn't really have anything interesting going for it. Overall, I was bit disappointed.
Generally I would say their about 40 minutes to an hour each. It honestly didnt feel like they were too short (maybe episode 2), but I would have wanted maybe another episode. Which is unfortunate since I think there was one that was going to be Casey, by the VA for him passed away… They have a memoriam for him at the end of Night Springs with new dialogue, which leads me to think this. Kind of sad to think we might have played as Casey😢 RIP McCaffrey
Huh, the episodes definitely were 30-40minutes for me and I think I found and read most additonal notes and such. But I admit, I do generally play games quite fast. Thanks for watching!
no this dlc was as I expected I was thinking you would play in a night spring episode and I was right. The other Dlc will likely go into door a bit more.

It did though. We know that Rose is an "artist" of sorts with her fan fictions, which might explain how she was "contacting" Alan in the main game. The town made a channel between artists. We also learn a bit more about Door, and how Tim Breaker is involved with him. Remember in the story how he says he doesn't know how but he has a feeling Door has to do with everything? This could be why. There are hints at answers for the main story. Of course, they can't answer everything until AW3. AW2 already has a fairly complete story with appropriate cliff hangers, to extend it immediately would be doing a disservice to the self-contained story.
