it feels like my story.I also wanted to do something in my life but society doesn't support me. It teaches me that some seeds were thrown in dirty area but one day it will grow on itself and it would be the wonderful thing people see in their life, and that's ME.

Thank you, my story is nothing but painful memories I was sexually molested by my grandfather, I was on a date and got raped. I cried out to my mom, she didn’t believe me, I became isolated, and began trying to figure out what to do, my dad was always drunk and I was his punching bag, I tried to comment suicide didn’t know how, I tried to jump off a small bridge in the woods, my friends stopped me, I ended up in the hospital, not fun, I started medication it was chore for my to pry open my mouth so my dad puts the pills in my mouth but I swallowed them, would ran away from my dad when he was drunk and he always found me, dad n I got into a big fight about his drinking, he put me in a headlock, and was chocking me.i turned over and bit him, called my mom at her job and she took to the e.r. Mom and I moved to Virginia to be close to my sister’s children, I made a mend with my dad and in with him after he became sicker, and was rushed to the hospital and he passed away in 2004, I was in a dark place in my life, tried to kill myself but was sent to a psychiatric hospital, then on to a new one because of my insurance. I’m okey, struggle every day, I don’t have to many friends who are willing to hear my story, just recently I got into a major car accident 2yrs ago. I’m still in a lot of pain had physical therapy, I’m now on my own to live my life with all the pain and the surgeries I have had, I don’t remember anything about the accident

Ohmigosh! That was breathtaking and courageous and transforming!
Each of these girls are so beautiful. Beauty begins in the heart & mind and shines through to the outside.
The messages these girls shared were so real and they are wise beyond their years.
I was fortunate to have an amazing mom. She was way ahead of her time. She celebrated the individuality of myself (the oldest), my brother and sister. So we knew to be "us." She taught us to steer clear of cliques and have all kinds of friends. So, when I walked into Jr. High school (before "middle schools") and Sr. High School it was with anticipation & excitement, and a bit of nervousness, which my mom said was normal. Plus, she was a Christian and was our Bible teacher. I remember praying at the age of 3. I held my head up and smile and said hi to everyone. I had friends who were cheerleaders, jocks, nerds, popular, unpopular, of every color.
When I was in high school there were 5 kids that were black. My first experience going to school with black kids. My mom taught us that Hod made us all, so there was no racism in our hearts. In fact, my first baby doll was black. I'd get strange looks from people but even then I understood we were to "Love one another." I grew up in the mid-50s through the early 70s. The world changes but people are the same pretty much.
Thank you to these Amazing Young Women! God gets me through my darkest times. He NEVER let's go. See Isaiah 41:13 & Proverbs 3:5
