Josh's was by far the most controllable and efficient. I see that design continued in principle to help the battleship fly.
Josh's design is more supportive of the (eventual) gun capability. Nut ball can only lob mortars.
Lobbing mortars can be super effective, it keeps the enemy on its toes lmao

I'd just like to appreciate how good they have gotten at getting air to air footage. If you look back to some of their first videos and compare the air to air with the newer ones, its quite impressive. Keep up the good work guys!
Tbh, I would really like to see the pusher wing design on the big tank. Although, realistically I think Josh's design is the best one. It looked like it handled really well and looked pretty cool too!

I love all three designs. The nutball looks more like a tank but the canard one flies great. If you can make the Nutball one fly better with a flight controller I would go with it, otherwise I say the canard version wins.

Build the nutball! The "wings" could fold down and it'll look like a tank. When the A10 attack it can surprise the airplane by deploying the wings and chase it in the air!
All of them are really cool but Josh‘s design is the clear winner.

I was wondering if you could help me with a problem concerning my DX6 controller. I don’t know what happened but, now the elevator stick controls the throttle and ailerons while the throttle stick controls the elevator and rudder. If you can help in anyway that would be much appreciated. Also, I’m new to the hobby.

Using the treads as pontoons would be great. It would then truly be a Land/Sea/Air vehicle.

You need to add a directed thrust fan in between the treads to give it VSTOL capability.

It's GOT to be the NutballTank, it just HAS TO! ALSO: With the Nutball version, you can make the "wings" fold down on the sides so you can still drive it around like a "normal" tank! :D
I cant get over how good the drone pilot recording the tanks mid-flight is. He always does an awesome job.

FT is amazing and very creative, thanks for introducing the hobby to me and offering free build plans. Who would have thought a tank could fly, but Josh's design has my vote.
Sitting here at the kitchen table with the Hopper boys: Luik and Judah vote for Josh’s, Levi likes Jeremy’s, and I want to see Stephan’s fly (‘cause it’s a glorified wing). ;) But, at the end of the day, we all think that Josh’s is the most stable and enjoyable design. Can’t wait for the next installment!

Hi guys! *Today i flew my scratch built FT 3D for the first time!* It was my first full flight with landing gear. I was succesfully off on the 2nd take, because the first try failed due to the fact that i forgot 1 extra battery in it and it was super heavy. I crashed on takeoff and broke the elevator and the motor mount. Everything was fixed within an hour and the next day i was off. It flew great, thank u so much for your work!

This is great. I wish you did more things like this. As for which you should do on the larger tank, I think it should be Josh's as it flew the best: flew the longest and seems to have the most control.

Looks to me you all have to build two more tanks, so all three designs get in the air. Anyone say tank column.
The nut ball looks more like a tank, but for good air to air you need to be able to maneuver. Josh has got to be the one.
Based on this vid, gotta go with Josh. However, I would like to see the Stefan design with the extra motor. The nutball was doomed from jump. Should have went with the Soviet design.

The second design was definitely the best: superior control, flew inverted, and took off and landed with ease. Though the nutball is definitely my favourite for hilarity it wouldn't be as practical against an A10

The Nutball kept the tank looking more like a tank than a plane, if it just had more stabilized control I give it a solid vote. Josh’s had the best flight.
The dreaded pole returns to take out planes😂. Man that was awesome made a giant A-10 now flying tanks😂👍🏽. Well my vote goes to Josh’s design cause it flew the best and unlike the nutball you can have fully controlled flight😂👍🏽. Another awesome vid can’t imagine what other projects will happen after the flying tank. You guys should redo Steffen’s to see if it’ll fly😄👍🏽, and that nutball crashing into the pole was way too funny😂.

Its their custom foam board. I just use the adams redi board. It has white paper instead of brown
