Wu Style Taijiquan of the 1920s. 吴式太极拳. Тайцзицюань стиль "У" маньчжурский, 1920х годов.

Недавно я посетил деревенских мастеров тайцзи, носителей стиля "У" маньчжурского традиции мастера Ван Маочжая (1862-1940), который был родом из этих мест. То, что я увидел и узнал, превзошло все мои ожидания. Мощные деды, одному 78, а второму 72, не только практикуют самый что ни на есть традиционный тайцзи стиля У, но и уже обучают 3-е поколение. То, что они делают является тайцзи конца 20х и середины 30х годов прошлого века. "Машины времени" тайцзи, так можно было бы окрестить этих мастеров.
Recently, I have decided to visit a couple of Wu Style Taijiquan village masters and relations, carriers of the tradition of master Wang Maozhai (1862-1940). They still live in this home village in Shandong Province. What I saw and learned have surpassed all my expectations. Powerful old men, one 78 and the second 72, did not only practice one of the most traditional versions of Wu Style Taijiquan but also are currently teaching the third generation of disciples. What they are doing is Wu Style Taijiquan as it was taught by Wang Maozhai in the late 20s and mid-30s of the last century. "Time Machines" of Wu Style Taijiquan, that's the name, these masters shell be known by.

Interesting to see how many variations there are of classic Tai chi Styles. I liked the form of the halberd whatever its name is in Chinese for it is and of the sword. The empty forms are a bit different in execution from the Wu that I practice but that is because there are many variations from school to schools. This said they are nice. The ducks in the background at the end are very funny and add a dash of true Chinese country side village atmosphere. Thank you for posting it. .
