Guitar Pilgrim, do you have any comments on the tuning of this song? I'm sure you're aware it's not in standard tuning? Was wondering if you could recommend how many cents lower to go on the tuner?
In my view you are a very good teacher. Beatles are some of the most fun songs to play. Several generations are familiar with their music. I was very pleased but almost shocked when I found out my nieces all loved the Beatles. I did not live near them so was not aware of their musical interests. When one day I found out, I was very happy they all loved the Beatles (which band was long gone before any of them were born) rather than the trash many young people were listening to at the time (and still).
Your are a top notch a guitar tutor, no doubt about it. You can’t go wrong with a Beatles song but I enjoy all of your lessons very much indeed and can’t wait for some more 👍
Nice job! Well presented and easy to follow. This is one of my favorite Beatles songs. Isn’t it remarkable that so many of the greatest songs in history are really fairly simple? But when performed by masters like the Beatles they sound like the most amazing things ever.
This song came out 55 YEARS AGO!! And people are still enjoying it and making excellent videos on learning to play it. (👍thanks Thom) To put that in perspective, if you were around when this song was released in 1965 (I was), and you were still listening to music that was popular 55 years before that (Ummm...NO) it would be the hits from *1910* !!!!! Amazing.
I have been begging different You Tube instructors for years to lay out their lessons in the order you have done this in! Great job and thanks so much. I am a new subscriber! I will certainly look into becoming a patron this weekend.
Thank you for that video. When I was young and the Beatles were just starting out, I discovered them for myself on Radio Luxembourg. I lived in a socialist country, so the radio was heavily disturbed. It was a big thing to listen to the most modern music at the time. I listened to various music that didn't tell me anything, mostly it was a junk. I liked, for example, the music of Elvis Presley or Shadows. And suddenly there was music between the mixture, which was different from everything else. I didn't know English yet, so I didn't notice the name of the band. And then suddenly I heard another song, which I really liked and had a similar style. And whenever the most beautiful music came, it turned out to be the Beatles. So I discovered them for myself via Radio Luxembourg :-))) I'm 74 years old, but at your instigation I decided to buy a guitar and learn after many years (sometimes I had two guitars) again some Beatles songs - even this perhaps the most beautiful. Thank you again for a good teaching.Francis.
A great lesson 👍🏻, one small tip though, when you play the first line “Shes got a ticket to RIDE “ it sounds better if you play a D7 on the “RIDE “ instead of a D…then just before that little lead break “ …..Gorra do right by Meee “ you can play the E further down the neck on “Meeee” by barring the 7th Fret while playing an A shape on the 9th Fret…. try it and you’ll see what I mean ( you can also play the little lead bit further down the neck also).
Great lesson and graphics. Don't forget to mention that the solo is an octave higher than what you played. The Beatles were playing all electric guitars on the track with the famous riff played on the 12 string Rickenbacker and Paul was playing the lead riff on the recording.
That was really nice. I play this song and I picked some things up for sure. May I suggest Travis picking the basslines at the same time for soloing. It takes a bit for it to become natural but adds another cool dimension.
You make such good videos. It just seems so altruistic. I guess with enough views you get some money. I think you're awesome. When I do this song, I've learned to do it without my index finger as my fingers are too big. God bless you. Rock on my brother!
Played along with this on my 12 string =P absolute spot on Pilgrim excellent work on this vid mate... People on UG are saying its in E flat tuning so i dont know... if you wanted to lower the pitch i guess you could but to my ears this sounded spot on to the original recording....
Mate, don't get me yapping on the beatles, i could go on for hours, all four of them were incredible, but the main man was obviously John Lennon, in my eyes he was truly bigger than christ, im not knocking the messiahs achievements, no i have much respect for the cross carrier, but apart from his buzzsaw whitt, he carried a guitar which is alot better than a boring wooden cross, if ever a church is opened for Lennon i will be proud to congregate, they are similar in they both lost their lives ignorance and for the better futures for ALL MANKIND, its sad and unfortunate that it still has not happened. Bless them, and I hope they are at peace.
haha, thank you Trick-or Treat, I also love that John Wayne quote ''Courage is being scared to death… and saddling up anyway.” , and that great? I love it!
Thank you Andres, I have Peruvian music at home! I was just listening to it the other day. One day, I would love to go and see you're beautiful country! All the best and greetings from Ireland!
Very good instructions; well done. During the sing-a-long at 8:39, you apparently snuck in a pinky on the D note on top of the E chord. By design or oops?
If you made those vocals for this vid, thats amazing.. Scratch that, even if you took them from a previous recording of yours, its still amazing! You obviously spent a lot of time on them and even harmonized. I actually thought it was the boys from Liverpool at first!
Hey Billy new subscriber here enjoying your channel buddy thanks for the Beatles song how I didn't want to learn that God bless you and yours buddy great work man keep it up!!
Thank you so much for this great explanation . I have been searching for the chord Gmaj7 that sounds really good. It seems to me that the chord Bm sounds better plucking open the first string.. Anyway thanks again.
I think the songs you chose to teach are bloody great, and always so accurate spot on keep up the good work just wish i could permanently download the videos ti share with my grandchilren who are all learning, ill signup sooner or later funds you know.
Enjoy this lesson with PDF study guide at: tinyurl.com/ytuhu573

Muy bien explicado
@@ciaranw520 can you share what standard tuning should be?

Such craftsmanship with their chord progressions, that's what makes the Beatles the best group ever.
OMG. All that magical imaginative songwriting on just those basic chords! They were amazing.
Thanks for posting the lesson.
Nice sounding guitar, btw!
Wow, glad I found you!
One of, if not the best guitar song lesson I've seen on RUclips! You rock!
Thanks olddogg, I am happy you liked the video, Cheers!
Playing guitar for decades and just realized here you can hold the A chord like that and it's much easier. oh thank you Guitar Pilgrim!

Спасибо за столь понятное и подробное руководство к овладению аккордами к этой классной песни самой лучшей на Земле группы на все времена !...
I think this one is the best Beatles song
Nah, Yesterday is better. But Ticket to Ride is in the top 5.
You only know one Beatles song then!
Mono Bliss I don't know how people can choose one. 😅 I could never decide, there are too many masterpieces
Ok...TTR is the best Beatles song of Beatlemania's years...sure...it's an strong song...its riff its drumms its voices...I love this song...
@@jessicacosiguitar for me, in no order, my top songs are:
A Day in the Life
Let It Be
While my Guitar Gently Weeps
Octopus's Garden
George always said John had something magical going on with his timing...the intro to this is the proof.
Thank you for that video.

From Spain ...Excellent.
The BEST tutorial for this song.
Gracias!
Cool lesson very accurate ! Lot of fun for me as a Sunday morning lesson ! Thanks a lot !
Very good. The mystery chord was always the Gmaj7, the 2nd ticket to RIDE. Most people just played the F#Minor by aC#Minor.
BRAVO UN DES MEILLEUR COURS DE GUITARE CLAIR ET PRECIS !!!!!
