I’ve owned my Avalon hybrid for a year and am still figuring out all the bells and whistles. I don’t drive often enough for things to become automatic. Your video is very helpful! One thing I still need. After entering the street address of a destination, is it possible to NAME the destination? Currently, to give a voice command, I need the street number. I’d like to say, “Bill’s House” for example.
Thanks for the compliment and the question. It is possible to name navigation points. To do so, you first have to plug in the address manually (it might also work via voice command) and once you click on the Address you want there will be an option at the bottom of the screen to save the destination as a favorite. Click it. Now you will be able to name that address so the next time you program that same destination you can just call it by whatever you named it. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
Thank you! To answer your question, I’m assuming that it doesn’t say “ECO Mode” but rather just that the ECO word lights up once in a while as your driving. In this case ECO shows up anytime your driving Economically no matter which mode your in, it’s just a visual cue that your driving economically. Hope that helps, and thanks for watching!
Thanks for the question. Follow these steps to delete navigation favorites Select Favorites from the Navigation menu Select Add/Edit Nav Favourite Select Delete Select the destination you want to remove Select Delete again. Thanks for watching!
I cannot figure out how to turn the freaking thing OFF. I've had it since September. I turn off the lights, and just walk away. It keeps beeping. When I look at the instructions it says, "just tap the off button to the left of the steering wheel"...There IS no Off button to the left of the steering wheel. There's a trunk button, and a gas tank button, and a few other things, but nothing says, "OFF"???
Thanks for the question. To turn the vehicle off, press the brake pedal and while pressing the brake pedal, push the start button (same button you use to start the car-it’s located to the right of the steering wheel ). That will turn the car off. If you were referring to turning something else off, let me know. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
Thanks for the question. Since you referenced 4:26 in the video I am assuming you want to turn off the HUD display. To do that watch from about 4:10 and I show you how to do that. If your referring to the drivers information screen the scroll over to the right until you are on the dashboard icon, then click down the list and you will see an option to turn of the center part of the drivers information screen. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
Thanks for the question. The information in the video would be applicable to all trim levels. The only difference might be there would be some features shown in the video that you might not have. Thanks for asking
