- Hello! As an introduction to sharing my financial journey on RUclips, I wanted to show you all just how much I'm actually paid! I hope you enjoy watching and stick around for my debt-free updates! This video was filmed Feb 2019!
Never let someone tell you " you don't do it for the money" this is bull. They should pay you your worth!!
Agreed!
Congrats on the first paycheck! That is a big milestone! Looking forward to future updates on your financial journey!
GenZ Investor Thank You! Updates coming soon!
Teachers have a very difficult job, also one of the most important and influential, it's embarrassing what teachers get paid, they should be paid alot more!
Agreed !
Thanks ☺️
I'm happy you are a teacher I'm very proud of you that you made it to teach kids I know you might didn't make enough to support you and the family but keep your head up you got this you are blessed my Black sister
Thank you! It’s definitely a rewarding career. There are so many options to make more money in the profession as well. I’ll have to make an updated video soon. Thank you for your support!
I am a teacher as well . That is so low and shocking . It’s so sad and horrible how they treat us . I don’t know what to say other than I feel your disappointment and it’s not fair at all . Best of luck
Thank you! Things have improved since moving to Texas but I am still not where I want to be. I'm hopeful for some other plans I have though. Good luck to you as well.
Alisha things will get better for you and you inspired me I have difficulties learning and a disability I think that's why it was hard for me to graduate but I tried it too much stressed in college but I feel I can still do what ever it takes. I felt bad I didn't make it as a teach 16 years in college on and off .
Thank you! Good luck to you as well!
I'm working toward teaching and as a substitute teacher I came across your video. I was curious as to how much I would realistically make and it's definitely less than what I expected for sure. To me the $2,000 a month, medical and dental, weekends and holidays off make it worthwhile.
It depends on what area you work in. I know at my school subs get like $88 a day.
@@alishamichelle166 I make $120 a day as a substitute
@@ChonkyKat753 That's awesome ! What area do you live in?
Hi I wanted to be a teacher in went to college too long and I never did finish and it was very hard to understand the English essay especially for exams I passed a couple of classes . I never quite 2016 I was still going but now the corona got here I couldn't go back to college. If I try online classes it is hard but I got to try it
You can definitely do it. We need people like you to teach! Go back and keep me updated on your journey.
To be honest, I thought it was gonna be less than that. But still, wow!
Yeah, it ended up being less than that because at that time my health, dental, and life insurance wasn’t coming out yet. I’ve moved to Texas now and it’s a little better. I’ll have to do an updated video on that soon.
@@alishamichelle166 Ooohhhh! Sheesh! I'm in Florida, I don't work for the State or the county yet but I almost believe it will be worse 😂😂😂 I teach ESL right now but I want to be a Professor. I love to teach so much.
A good truck driver can make this in one week.
Yup, that’s what my dad do. I want to buy one and find a driver
@@alishamichelle166 But, it's not always about the money. Teaching is a calling. Driving is a job. You will leave a footprint as a teacher.
@@h.f.9238 That’s definitely true! Fortunately, I can teach in any capacity and still feel fulfilled.
Congratulations! you should come to china. An expat teaching English here can get over 3000usd per month with very cost of living. Btw you are very beautiful :)
adi654 Thank you! You’re the second person to tell me about the perks of overseas teaching. I’m definitely going to look into it.
Hey Alisha can I get advice from you if it helps me
Absolutely!
The teachers that make it on that income have husbands.
Agreed
teachers are so underpaid
Yes we are!
You're paid monthly? That's so strange.
Yup, I thought it was pretty common for teachers.
