Chinese Coast Guard vessels on Tuesday morning were attempting to block a Philippine rotation and resupply mission (RoRe) to Ayungin Shoal, fresh reports received by Palawan News from sources said.
The Philippines is currently conducting a rotation and resupply mission (RoRe) for troops stationed at BRP Sierra Madre in Ayungin Shoal today, March 5. However, they are being continuously blocked by China Coast Guard (CCG) and maritime militia ships.
This video from the verified BRP Sierra Madre account on X (formerly Twitter) shows one of the Unaizah May civilian resupply boats allegedly being blocked by a CCG vessel from reaching Ayungin, but it managed to evade its dangerous maneuvers.
The Armed Forces of the Philippines announced in a press release this morning that Philippine Navy and Philippine Coast Guard vessels will be escorting the resupply and rotation of troops in BRP Sierra Madre in Ayungin Shoal.
Two civilian boats, UM1 and UM4, are participating in the RoRe.
