Good evening sir, Today’s motivational quote is “Study hard and focus on your goals. One day you’re gonna make yourself proud.” Editorial is related to transfer of judges from one High Court to another. In my opinion:- The Judiciary, which is known as an independent body is in news as it is believed that transfer of judges are not being done as per the existing norms. This somewhere creates problem for smooth functioning of the judiciary. It is true that with the help of transfer, Judges get opportunity to explore their knowledge and they also get opportunity to deal different type of cases across the country. Apart from this, if a judge is posted at one place for a long time that may invite illegal activities/corruptions and victims may face problems to get fair justice on time. It is also true that the provisions related to transfer of judges must be reviewed as it had been formed when the country had limited cases but nowadays cases have increased and these cases are totally different from them. Apart from this, while reviewing such policies, duration for posting of judges must be fixed so that they can work freely without any political pressures. In many occasions, it has been seen that when judges give their verdict against the government, they are generally transferred to any place which shows wrong intention of the government. It is true that the people have much faith on the judiciary and if the ruling government makes such interventions in the functioning of the judiciary, it will create problem to the people to get early justice. Apart from this, it is also seen that the officials those who have political support are transferred as per their own requests which somewhere violates the norms and also shows norms are made for those who have no political connection/approaches. India, which is known for equality, must work following the constitutional norms instead of favoring someone so that motto of equality should be maintained.
