You seems my kinda fan. Yes, that home season was absolutely fantastic for him. I always thought Pujara will score high number of runs after that 2018 Australia tour but its reverse happened and this would hurt me forever.
Few corrections, you missed 51 against England in Mohali, there was twin half century against Bangladesh 2017 Test, 83 in 1st inning and 54 not out in 2nd
@@aradhyakumar684 I thought the same brother yes I know I missed some innings During 2016-2017 everyone was saying that Pujara mainly scores in Asia.....but he proved it in 2018 BGT He could have century in NZ if he hadn't played that disastrous shot in Christchurch 2020 after scoring 55(where he smashed boult) Also, that brainfade moment in Headingly test 2021, where he scored 91.

At Headingley, he would've completed that 100 if umpire wouldn't call stumps due to bad light, his rhythm broke when match moves to next day. Another 100 I was expecting in Sydney when he was playing so sublime on 77 in 2022 but he got bowled. In short we knew what was his potential but his stats didn't justify him 😞
Good to see Pujara fans here. I thoroughly enjoyed the write up and the scores as well. He played well in 2016-17 in India but he played crucial role in test matches that India won in overseas. Like win against England and South Africa in their home pitches in 2018 and BGT 2018 and 2021 also in 2021 test series in England. In my opinion he became top defensive at one stage which resulted in failures but he is epitome of hardwork and dedication. He never partyed and never had pub culture in him(I am saying this after reaching chesistance in ESPN Cricinfo). He played 100 tests in a way he did fine job as test batsman
