Got it working great now. There are two variants of these boards, newer ones have an equivalent SER-UART IC on them due to original parts being in short supply. the new one I have is fitted with CH9102F IC. the driver for it is available from manufacturers site as an executable called CH9102_VCP_SER_Windows with this driver installed the board is working sweet. spent most of the night playing classic Vic20 Jeff Minter games and old demos from the 80s, Amstrad CPC464 and Spectrum emulators also work very well. :-) great fun !
Oh that's good to know about the other machines. I've always seen the Amstrad machines on retro channels. I need to try that. I didn't know about the 2 variants of the board. I'll pin this so people know.
I get this error Compilation error: src/machine.h: No such file or directory when trying to upload to my board of the same make as yours, any ideas on how to fix that. Hmm, when i deleted the src/ i continued, but only to the next place in the code where the was a folder name. #include "progs/embedded/blue_star.h"
Can You tell us where to get the SER-UART driver for Windows for these boards? built in audio test works so board is good but cannot get Arduino IDE to 'see' the board (no driver) and cannot find windows driver for the CH9102F SER-UART chip on the VGA32 board. Would really appreciate if You can let me know where to get windows driver. Cheers.

To be honest, I'm not really sure. Mine just worked.
can it write save and load portable files as original?
WOOO!! this is neat ! Nice !!
It's such a cool little board.
Neat thing :-)
hi dear i´m looking for some dedicate Bare Metal emulation (ESP32) to make a computer replica clone
Now try with an M5stamp! 🙂
It would be AMAZING if someone could build an APPLE II clone out of this! Unfortunately that goes way beyond MY skill...
I will definitely keep an eye out. I'm guessing it's in the range of possibility.
www.elektormagazine.com/news/world-s-tiniest-mac-plus-has-esp32-inside
does it emulate any other machines?
I haven't checked the library in a while but it didn't when I made this video.
Yes
What about usb keyboard and mouse
It is possible that it could work with USB to PS2 adapters
Yes Please!!!!!
I thought you would enjoy this.
