Something I want to add about the Homecoming mission. Not only is it a side-mission that doesn't interfere with the main plot, nor is required to beat the game, but it also isn't tied to the game's Platinum. As in, you are not forced to do this mission to get the platinum trophy, meaning you can legitimately play the entire game, get all the trophies, ending with the Platinum trophy, play the game again in New Game +, get the platinum trophy tied to the New Game +, and never end up having to do this mission. This reminds me of when people went absolutely mental when Ubisoft announced that the 'romancing characters regardless of gender' feature that appeared in AC Oddyssey and Valhalla was going to be brought back for this game, and everyone went UBISOFT PUSHING LGBT CRAP DOWN OUR THROATS! MAKING CHARACTERS BISEXUAL! MAKING A HISTORICAL PERSON RANDOMLY BISEXUAL FOR WOKENESS! For the people that are unaware what this feature is, basically, in AC Oddyssey and Valhalla, you would sometimes be offered to romance certain characters you meet, except that they gave you the option to romance these people, regardless of the gender of your playable character. This means that (for example) a female character named Odessa could be romanced by both a female playable protagonist, and a male one. All Ubisoft did in their announcement was say "Yeah, we're including that feature in the upcoming game as well". The thing is that these interactions aren't canon to the protagonist's sexuality, and the option to do same-sex romance is simply there for the player's choice. Basically, you make your own headcanon; You want your character to be Heterosexual, then you simply choose him/her to be, you want him to be gay or bi or Lesbian, then you yourself make them so. These interactions are also 100% optional, as more often, they occur with side-characters from side-quests, and you yourself have to initiate and work on building a relationship. So, like this game, it does not interfere with the main plot, and you yourself have to go out of your way to do it.

Marvel Spider-Man 2 is a game set in New York City set in 2023 it will be less immersive if these elements didn't appear so in my opinion (This is gonna sound like a hot take please forgive me if I say this) the insomniac Spider-Man game are way better than the Activation games because of three reasons time, effort and care now don't get me wrong Activision does have some diamond's in the rough like Spider-Man 2 the movie game, Shattered Dimensions, Web of shadows (Only Gameplay because the story was good for 2008 standards however it did not age well Sorry) Ultimate Spider-Man and TASM 1 (in my opinion) however there some stinkers such as Spider-Man 3 the movie game, Edge Of Time, Spider-Man 2 the movie game on PC and finally TASM 2 and again this is my opinion
