About 4 years ago my daughter cried because we kept hearing on the news that even the Christian colleges were becoming secular. She said by time she is college age there won't be anywhere for her to go to. She 13 now and about to enter our first year of classical education. I'm so glad I've come across this classical education college on my feed.

@@zacharypogue1184 critical race theory is literally the study of the effects of institutional racism and how it still reverberates in society, that’s literally all that is. it’s a real thing and it’s not some marxist plot to make kids hate america. The psychological community has long understood the spectrum of sexuality and the difference between sex and gender. gender is a social construct and this has literally been studied since the 30s. gender dysphoria is real and trans people exist so whether or not you like or approve doesn’t change reality. the big bang theory is real. it is observable and holds up to rigorous scientific scrutiny.
@@jordanexploded well we could enjoy a debate on each of those articles and I think it would be some good intellectual exercise for both of us. However to return to the central point, every one of those things is a battle ground in the "culture war". We know it's a "war of ideas" because it is talking about 2 different bases of reality totally opposed to each other. If one side is right, the other is wrong, and visa versa. Now adherents to each side the more they belive their doctrines, the more they oppose the side that doesn't believe. We cannot close our eyes and pretend this isn't happening. To quote from a good book I read, "a house divided against itself cannot stand." Do you disagree? On short there is a war. You made claims and say they are backed by evidence. I can also make claims that I believe are backed up by evidence. But the claims we are making are inherently opposed and the very presence of one in the schools require the other not be there. Can I teach Christ crucified and the idea that we all came from blobs of matter billions of years ago in the same school or university? Nope. It would discredit the university. Each view requires the destruction of the other. So we can each have our own but on a political and educational level, these ideas have huge, nation changing, multi-generational consequences.
Thus. . . .the war. New sain Andrew's has experienced first hand what the reaction is of people who don't agree with them and it's. . . . Warlike. If you want, I can give you my email and we can discuss all the topics you brought up as I have some knowledge of them and would appreciate your view of them. It would be nice to discuss those issues and come to conclusions non-antogonistically. Then there would be no war. Problem solved.
