Aw this an amazing compliment, thank you so much! I'm very happy to hear you have been enjoying my videos. Yay! Let me know if there are products you would like me to review🥰
Omg i thought i was the only one who wasn't so impressed with the sample i received it felt very itchy and dehydrating.. my go to foundation rn are shisedo and givenchy libre as their colour range are like a gift for us brown olive toned women 🤣 Alsoo if you could do a video on one & done eyeshadows look that would be super helpful as i liiive for your reviews 💕
Wow! Would you please let me know your shade in shiseido and Givenchy? Are you similar to my skintone? One and done eyeshadows! Great idea, il add to my list
@@RashiRamalho i am similar to your skintone .. (3WO dior, Too faced sand) Givenchy prisme libre has W, N & C undertone ranges although i prefer their W range because it caters more for olivey undertones.. 4W280, 4W307 and 4W310(if you prefer slightly warmer look) . I use W 307. And in shisedo self refreshing you could go for 340(olive undertone ), 350 maple( perfect neutral tone).. i use 350 as i can pull it off during winters as well as summer period.Hope that helped :)
@@Garglicious i am shade 340 in shiseido and its abit warm for me. I mix nars matte stromboli in and its perfect. If that helps! I am going to get shade 17 I hope its not too warm though because the dior shade is too warm for me 😭
I didn’t like this foundation at first, but after using it a few times it’s one of my favourites. The shade match is like no other, I’m shade 16. The look is seamless, and I use 1 pump which is more than enough.
Thank you for your honest reviews! I really love this foundation and i tend to use it mostly every day (mainly because its light to medium coverage and when it sets it doesn't transfer to the nose pads of my glasses). I do agree with you that it really depends on what your skin is like on the day. On my good skin days, this foundation is amazing on my skin; on bad days, i don't get the best coverage and sometimes its a bit patchy. I think this has to do with me having pigmentation issues though (and my pigmentation varies day to day). But overall, this is my go to every day foundation (my shade is number 27).
I have just found your channel and really enjoyed some of your previous videos. Your detail explanations really help. I subscribed after watching a few videos and look forward to more in the future. Will you be doing a “best of 2021”?
Thanks so much May! I'm currently working on 'best of' videos for various categories evry week. I have done the best foundations and best cream blushes and more is coming in the next few weeks! Let me know if they are specific categories you would like me to film🥰
I used the sample card and bought shade 18. I actually like it a lot and it doesn't feel heavy on the face. I always felt like most foundation sit like a mask on the face. (I'm not a foundation wearer). But I guess it doesn't work for everyone 😕
I don't think any foundation will work for everyone. We all have such different skin types and climates that we live in. Regardless I'm happy to hear you love it!
I've tried the samples (ALL makeup companies should be doing this by now) and bought a bottle recently, and I think i love it. My skin is normal with no dryness. However.... the foundation is aligned with what I think is LE's aesthetic....minimal, simple, just a refinement of the natural skin. For me less product is more. Lisa says so herself in her instructional video. I think of it as a step up from a skin tint and if i want more of a 'foundation look' I will use something else. Is it worth the money for something barely there? I'm not sure. I'll probably re-purchase though because there is something about it that works beautifully on my maturing skin that needs less makeup these days.
That is wonderful Nikki, I'm so happy to hear the foundation works so well for you! And absolutely brands should be selling samples of their base products especially as we buy more and more makeup online!
@@RashiRamalho yes! Makeup is an investment and I would have bought the wrong colour in this foundation if not for the samples. My skin definitely has a warm yellow undertone but the neutral foundations seemed to work better for me. The golden undertones lean a bit orangey/red to my eye. Thanks for the review!
Great review. Im usually a shade darker than you in foundation and im loving shade 19. I have a lot of skin texture because of acne and visible pores (oily skin) and i think this foundation is very forgiving and skin like. On highly textured areas i apply it with my fingers, on the rest of the face with a flat brush. I only use toner and a watery sunscreen under it, for better adhesion. But if you have found something even more smoothing than this im curious. I think this is pretty darn near perfect, but after 16 hours it doesnt look the same as freshly applied; but it still looks good.
Thanks Rashi! You point out the exact concerns I have with this foundation. The initial application is fine but it emphasizes my pores in a few hours and settles and emphasizes my smiley lines. This foundation makes me look old. Perhaps it will work better for me in the summer but overall I am very disappointed in this foundation.
Hey Jackie that's exactly it! I feel like it makes me look old too after about 3 to 4 hours! All because itz a bit drying. Have you tried it with a hydrating primer?
@@RashiRamalho no I have not. I don’t usually use a primer but I do moisturize pretty well. I found that the foundation works slightly better when I use the Kinship self reflect sunscreen (very moisturizing) underneath. I feel that I need to buy a pore blurring primer to use in conjunction with the foundation. Sigh….
@@RashiRamalho aw man I might give this a miss bcs i find thinner formulas that dont look as smoothing make me look old too. I need that creamier formula to smooth the skin. My mouth area is quite crepey looking and so i reckon this might not work. Saddddd but also dont want to waste so much money
@@nohandle474 yeah I don't recommend it for a drier/crepey mouth area for sure! Maybe she will come out with a hydrating foundation in future that will work better

Hmm I paid so much money on the import tax for this foundation, so I was feeling a bit frustrated when it doesn’t really work for me🥺 What you have experienced is what I am experiencing. I have a love and hate relationship with this foundation. The colour matches was so perfect for me, even though I scratched my head so hard to try to finger out which shade to order. It always look so beautiful when I just first apply it, but then it gets cakey around my mouth and my pores seem pronounced after a few hours😑 I want to love it since it is so expensive after paying the tax on top of it, but I still haven’t found the right way to love it yet😰
Ahh damn that sucks Antonia. Do you have primers you can use? A pore smoothing one for the pore area and a hydrating primer around the mouth area should do the trick
@@RashiRamalho Hahaha thank you for the suggestion! I don’t use primers, and now I need to spend more money buying two different primers just to make this foundation works😅 But I will try that, thank you so much xx
Just today I received charlotte tilbury beautiful skin foundation. I paired with Chanel loose powder and it became a bullet proof base makeup. Happy New Year, Rashi! Thanks you for another in-depth review. I will def not buy this as it has demi matte finish. But the fact that it's cakey, enlarges pores, and settles into lines... not going there. It reminds me of the Born This Way foundation which I chucked. To be honest: I think is the first foundation I've seen that looks bad on you.
That's interesting because the day I filmed this video, the foundation wore slightly better than other days lol I'm going to keep trying to make it work and perhaps with some primers I can find a magical way to make it look great and consistent🤭
