I know ads are a necessity for revenue but i can’t stand the ads during coverage with the live score and random graphic up. Why have 75% of the screen taken up by things we’re not wanting to see? People want to see the coverage and it’s crazy to pay more than Netflix and the other apps for the later rounds when dealing with this. How about the pro tour and PDGA focus on bringing in sponsorship money instead of crushing the fans with a terrible subscription model with 2010 cell phone video quality.
Morons are in charge, so positive change will never happen. Death of the sport professionally is inevitable. Just look how far disc golf fell behind pickleball already.
This is exactly why I canceled my subscription. They've ruined my interest is watching the game. No other sport is so heavily saturated with ads. It's insane to have ad breaks and live feed ads. I would like to hear and see what is happening not watch the ad with a little picture in picture screen of the game in the background.
@@brodieny8288 (DGN owns jomez. The same camera shots you see here will be on the jomez coverage..just not streamed from what is essentially cell phone internet so it looks better)
There is Jomez for all the Pro tour coverage. What are you getting at? They are the same company and you can watch live or post production through Jomez. Don't watch the live if you don't like it.
Video quality is really poor. With all the adds shoved down our throats you'd hope the coverage would be better. Ian and Philo on commentary is great through
That's one of the cons of watching live sports. Especially ones that don't have a large budget or a major network. I'm watching it now after it's over and it's playing 1080 60 fps.
The quality is limited by the cell service. With the absolute best cell service the signal is plenty watchable but there is no other option broadcast live that isn't insanely expensive. So it's cell signal video or quality post production video. Nice to have choices but there is nothing to be done about the live video quality. Even when it says 1080 the bit rate is trash and it looks bad.
This production is so extremely unwatchable. It literally destroys my interest to watch. Have to wait so long for jomez whom should really be doing this live coverage
Im not trying to watch 3 and a half hours with so many ads. It's like watching a football game live. This isn't live anymore. Cut down the coverage to the main card and do follow-ups on other cards like jomezpro. This is so frustrating.... get better..
It would still take 3 and a half hours for the lead card to play. They can't cut it down live. They do offer high quality post production next day (not free for this one) coverage that is cut down just like you say. It's Jomez. The DGPT owns Jomez and they are giving you two different ways to watch. Same company. They are already doing what you are saying they should do. Jomez was completely failing financially and they were taken over by the DGPT. And Jomez has only gotten better now that they have access to all the footage from the live broadcast. I would expect the PDGA member discount to go away soon as well. It's currently 6 bucks a month if you buy a 50 dollar membership, making it cheaper to buy a pdga membership and pay the 6 bucks than to not be a member and pay the full 13.
What was the conversation between Isaac and Chris about as they walked up to hole 17? Ian said he knew what they were talking about but couldn’t elaborate
Dude. At the end of FPO they didn't even show the scores beyond the top 5. C'mon. 20 minutes of post round stream and they couldn't even show the top 10 once?
You're comparing two different products. Its fine to prefer post production but at least understand why it's different. They have to use a cell signal to broadcast live. That severely limits the quality of the video. Post production (Jomez) can take the full quality footage and upload in high quality but it can't be live. Also, Jomez is owned by the DGPT fyi.
@@wilmaterna4667 He didn't get anything. They were completely failing financially and the DGPT just offered them jobs. They even let them off the hook for the money that Jomez owed them. They were supposed to be paying 250K for the rights to to film and broadcast the events and they never paid anything because they were losing so much money. And yeah, the DGPT doesn't get involved, that much, with how Jomez operates, but they do provide them with extra footage from all the cameras. That's why they are able to do as many check ins with players who aren't even on the card in front of lead/feature card. So Jomez is better (and existing at all) because of the DGPT. The question is, how long will the DGPT keep providing free next day Jomez. Like it or not, Jomez is a DGPT product that loses money and it's probably not going to stay the way it is for long. You might even see changes next year, like maybe it's delayed a full week for all event, or even you only get it with a subscription.
@@wilmaterna4667 Jonathan didn't get anything he took a job offer after not being able to pay the pro tour what he had agreed to pay for rights. Jomez was just losing money.
Philo, stop saying they "pushed" it right. A righty backhand player's miss to the right is a "pull" and the miss to the left is a "push." You pull stuff to the right with your right hand, you push stuff away from your body, to the left. Very simple.
@@dwilk-9860 In 2020 his ACL completely separated from the bone and he had surgery to repair it. They already have the US Women's. Throw Pink was added in 2020 as a Major because the ladies weren't going to have one at all due to the pandemic. It hasn't needed to be a Major since then, though.
It should be. Everyone agrees. They should just add it as a fifth major, though the talk is that the USDGC and Throw Pink won't be able to use Winthrop for more than a couple more years so it may not make sense to change now I guess.
Using that “the Carolinas never looked so good” promo feels pretty tasteless right now! I was disappointed there wasn’t any mention of Helene in the Jomez boys practice round too…
Definitely wish Jomez could cover this live!! Hard to follow with them moving to different players so much

Why are the ads better quality than the coverage?
Too many ads and the coverage sucks. I can't believe people pay for this.
