How sad I was Nolly's make-up artiste for many years. The make-up and wardrobe had been torn down, her dressing room where we had many great laughs and chats also gone. Many happy memories of good times with the Crossroads cast. She was a wonderful person but had a tender inside and this is what killed her Crossroads was her life.

What a lovely tribute to Noele and Crossroads. It’s a great shame to see such an iconic building come down so soon; after all, it wasn’t all that old… but what a way to go! with the dulcet tones of dear Nolly sounding across the Midlands that she loved so.

It's difficult to comprehend just how totally ATV has vanished from corporeal existence. At least we have the memories and (some of) the tapes. 😢

Nostalgia at its best, ...when crossroads, tiswas, bullseye, the golden shot and all those great shows are just a distant flickering memory when we are all old, the ghosts will still haunt, what was the old atv studios... Really nice to see the central TV staff joining in as I thought it was a case of "think central TV,not atv if u want a job".... And as for Lewis Rudd..... He killed tiswas before the proper "final series"...bugger the IBA....

I remember that studio well! My Dad worked there from early 1960s to retirement and I loved going into the studios at the weekends when he was working! I was a Tiswas audience kid haha 😂

Fair play to you, you got better lighting (literally outdoor light) than we got!

prodge Thanks. We're pleased to see you Tiswas fans also made it in to document your hallowed ground before it went. Wasn't easy, climbing the rubble mountain and the thick concrete dust coating everything inside. Was a narrow safety window before the studio roofs lost their integrity. Part of it timing, as asked them to half demo the wall for the light & to set the scene of impending oblivion. Can't believe the place is now almost all gone :(

A needless waste of a good facility, like Pebble Mill.

Why did this happen? I can only assume it was caused by money problems. I just don't get it. Was there to much space than was unused and not making money?.
