Never be embarrassed of the yellow travel wagon ... its a cracking colour and does you proud!
You both make food seem so appetising ... quite jealous
"That was yesterday for us but last week for you."
AAAAAHHHHH - TARDIS fell backwards through the time tunnel and spilled ALL the jellybabies ~ AGAIN!
Loved the tour of Chester. I was born there and lived locally until I was about 21. Left home to join the merchant navy and see the world, got married and settled down in North Wales. I still consider Chester as my home town some 52 years later.😊
If I ever go to England, Chester is where I’ll go.
Thank you 🙏
Lol not afraid to be weird! Chester is a cool place. All of the places you go are cool. Thanks for the videos ☺️
That busker was Ed Alleyne-Johnson, violinist for New Model Army and was who got me into violin looping many years ago. It's nice to see he's still at it :)
I normally lurk. Love your vids & finally have something to add. Take it easy! Much love
He was brilliant, could have listened to him all day! 😊🌟
Thanks I was wondering who it was. Amazing sound. Gonna look him up😍😉👍
@@BenandEmily He's probably recorded lots of things since, but his Purple Violin Concerto was what got him on my radar. This must have been mid 90's. He's been a regular busker since that time.
Just found a lot of his music on RUclips, absolutely wow!
I saw him in Calgary, canada with NMA back in the late-90’s. Amazing!
What a beautiful place Chester is, just as I remember it when we walked all around the city walls as children. I'd love to go back and sample that wonderful Vegan restaurant too, but fear I shall never have the chance now that I am getting on a bit and here in Canada so far away from England. Your appreciation of all the beauty in the countryside and the city is so refreshing when I see how most millennials and gen Z today fail to 'get it'. Thanks for sharing in your really well crafted videos. Hugs to Allan, the coolest cat on the canal and to you two too.
Thanks so much 🥰
Playing with my Narrowboat simulator watching your vid drinking a coffee.
That was a bonus a bit of Ed Alleyn Johnson ❤
A cheeky appearance from Jarvis... 😏
Sooooo Fantastic 😊!!!!!
I Love you guys Journey!!!!!
Many Thanks!!!!
Loved seeing Chester. The large black bird on the river rocks with wings outstretched is a great cormorant. Their wings easily get waterlogged which allows them to dive deeper and faster because no air trapped. They are skilled catchers of fish. When wings are outstretched they are drying their feathers.
Defo a cormorant as the shag (what a name lol) is found mainly in coastal areas
Just wanted to add this as I could use the word "shag" in an intellectual manner hahaha
Hello from Texas, USA, I never even knew Chester existed, What an interesting city. Thanks for the tour. I will now be searching and touring Chester on line as I can not physically travel. Enjoy your interesting vlogs.
So glad we could show you 😊 Thanks for watching!
I love the scenery of England & how green it is there. I love the old buildings . I started watching your channel and now I'm watching other narrow boat channels like Danni & Joe's channel. Thank you for sharing your adventures
This one has cast me back in time... Chester is a city I visited many times in my pre & early teens, walking the walls & checking out the race course. It is also the place I took my first two week narrowboat adventure, on a 36 foot narrowboat lent by a friend, along the Shropshire Union to the Staffordshire & Worcestershire, ending in Stourport. That was the the summer of 1991...😳 Thank you for
What a grand packed vlog well done both nice you had such a good time luv to u both purrs to Alan too tc now 🤗👋👍🤗👋👍the oldies
Another fascinating adventure! Chester is lovely- another place to add to my list for future explorations! And Sheffield too. As always, love to Alan 😸❤and to you both xo
😻
Used to work in Chester in Hunter St and walked to work from the train station along the canal…quite gritty and spooky in the ‘70s😉 Amazing how it’s all been renovated and good to see it used by narrowboat again. Many thanks for this tour…inspired me to visit again!
Love these videos, Emily's facial expressions when she sees food, Benny choice of attire, there a tonic.
The violinist is Ed Alleyne Johnson. Many moons ago he played with New Model Army. Brill musician. Glad you enjoyed Chester.
We love Chester- it's the best city . We used to moor up just past the main road bridge (123E) and go up to the wall and walk. The city although always crowded was always clean. we'd stay there for 2 days then move down the staircase and moor in the basin for another 2 days. Absolute heaven. So much to see there never got tired of it Thank you for the memories.
Looks a beautiful place and beautiful views to
England is definitely on my bucket list of places to visit. Your videos are so amazing thank you for letting us come along on your amazing and adventurous lifestyle. Definitely visiting Chester what a wonderful town💗💗💗
Just back from Chester today and IMHO it's number 1 in the UK. Chester and its Roman walls skirting around the river Dee are fantastic. The black and white 15th century buildings are extremely beautiful. Great video too. Next time go through North Gate locks to Chester basin. ❤️😎
Thanks for the tip! Will do, we loved it there 😊
March in Ky, and April have what we call "Winters", which happen when it gets Springlike, but turns cold, and the first one is when Redbuds bloom, and it gets cold, then it warms up, again, and turns cold, again, when Dogwoods "bloom", thus Dogwood Winter. It warms up, again, and then turns colder, when Blackberries bloom, thus, it's called "Blackberry Winter", and those are after what you call "false Springs", but we call it by when it turns cold, instead. THEN, it's SPRING!
Beautiful place is Chester. Loved this video thank you so much!! Lisa x❤
Chester looks nice for a visit.
I have been to chester shopping and the castle, my hubby is from Northwich... so everytime we come back to the UK we have to come back here. we now live in Adelaide south Australia.... but come back and visit friends and relatives every few years.. love your vlogs thank you so much.

A beautiful venture into Chester. I visited Chester when I was 11years old. We walked the wall. (1965). I still remember it. Lovely to see it again. Thank you for sharing. 💘 from Arizona 🇺🇸.
Hi Guys, another fantastic video, keep them coming. Love to the 3 of you xxx

Great vlog you guys, music too. I shall be heading to Chester for the first time around the start of summer. Taking my mum(86) back for the first time since she was in boarding school there. She says 'Hi' and loves your channel.

This was fun!
Hi Ben and Emily .
What a stunning place is Chester .
Love the food, except I don't like chocolate..
❤ to Alan...
Ah fudge is my favourite .
Hope you both had a lovely interesting day.
Best wishes..
I love this episode. I live in Tacoma, Washington, USA and love watching and learning about your country. More info on the history of places you pass and touring through the towns and villages would be great. Each episode you should show us on a map of UK where you are traveling. It seems like Rambler is a hassle, I wouldn't want to be separated like that while driving the boats. Is it worth it? Love your channel.
Love 💕 following Ben, Emily and Alan, great vlog - never been to Chester it’s now on my bucket list 🤗 thanks for sharing 🥰👋🏾
Definitely worth a visit! 😊🌟
Nice one guys; Chester looked great as did Sheffield. Lots of interesting facts well presented by Emily. Nice to see Alan helping her dad at the laptop. 😀
Everytime Emily had a cake in front of her, she had this look on her face like...'don't even think you're getting any of this Ben!' ha ha ha...Chester is a perfect place to have a bit of an explore, but it did look very chilly!! And that is coming from someone living on the Canadian prairies! lol....I really like it when you two do exploring in your van. You can take Alan with you! Cheers for the tour, guys...🌹🚖
Lovely to see Chester again, grew up close by in Prenton. Now in usa . Love your show. Trip back home every day.
When Alan can't get out because of rainy days, does she have litter tray inside . She is such a lovely cat, so good and calm and loving. Thank you for sharing your life. 🇬🇧⚘️⚘️⚘️
Forgot to say, Ben's music is perfect through every video. Love your music Ben. 🎶🇬🇧🎶❤️

I really enjoyed seeing Chesters old buildings and walls thank you
Glad you enjoyed 😊
For our motorcycles in the cold. We have 12v heated vests gloves etc. I would think they'd work very well on a narrow boat while at the tiller.
Rocky the giant rabbit says hi to Alan x
You guys are a breath of fresh air. Love the video.
this is a wonderful video i fully enjoyed it . thanks cheers
Emily, you have such a pleasant voice. You should be voicing for documentaries.
Hey Ben, Hey Emily. You've reminded me I need to visit Chester again. Truly lovely vlog and some more very nice music Ben ... must buy your third album. Hope you received mine. Keep an eye on those high tides!
OMG the food and coffee you had in the food hall looked so good!! Chester looks great. I went once in the late 1990s for the day but I dont think I saw much of it in the few hours I was there
Hello You Three - gretings from Poland.

Ben's music really adds to the videos - and I particularly love the uke!
Lovely vlog. Chester is such an amazing place. So many historical buildings!
Have recently started to watch your videos and they're so entertaining! I got really excited when you went to Chester indoor market to get some food, as you shot a really good view of a stall called Guroma - my son Andrew designed their logo !!
My sister and I visited Chester in 2021 on a day trip we saw the Guroma food stand - introduced ourselves and our connection to their Logo designer and like you we managed to walk the city walls taking in all the interesting sights - a lovely city.
Thumbs up from your Pompey fan best wishes to you 3
At 22.22 you are passing (in the background) a very important historic canal location. You can just see a slipway....it was the first place boats were hired out for holidays on the entire network!

Equally impressive ad also accessible from canal.

Funny as I was watching the snow fall on you guys we were experiencing a snow squall. However we still have a lot of snow. Nice to see how “springy” things are where you are.

What a fun packed episode. It's like tourism without leaving your front room. Thank you for taking us all on your journeys. Also loving the food choices. 🌱🍔
New Chester Market looks awesome, we so desperately need this kind of approach to independent food and retail here in Kingston-Upon-Thames.
Thanks for watching! That food hall was brilliant! Wish we could have gone a few more times 😋
