SFA Lumberjack Legacy Forestry Program

Consider entrusting your forestland to SFA, and make your forest part of the Lumberjack Legacy. By donating your forestland to the SFA Lumberjack Legacy program, you ensure the land remains forested and responsibly managed for future generations while supporting education at SFA.
Since 2004, the 3,449 acres of forests managed through the Lumberjack Legacy program have sequestered more than 618,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide. In addition to the numerous ecosystem services provided by these forestlands, sustainable management has generated more than $285,000 in scholarships and assistantships.
