Hi guys what you do it’s absolutely amazing. I’m Brazilians and have done so many crazy adventures in my childhood ,but nothing to compare what you do . I really enjoying watching you . God bless you your beautiful family
There are so many beautiful parts to your journey but the portage across boulder strewn parts and the insects...oh the insects! I am sure we are all full of admiration - and when we think back to the original folk who navigated without the aid of modern equipment...well....OohLaLa! What a great series thank you Jim & Ted! 🐺🐾👍
Jim & Ted you are my favorite folks on youtube. I have watched every single video from day one. Epic adventures, beautiful families, just awsome ty for the journey
Was gonna whine about how I've already seen this footage, but I got lost in the gorgeous scenery. It's so beautiful up there. And then there's the fishing! After a few minutes, I was in a happy place. Thanks for the long form video.
Congrats on your amazing journey and thank you for sharing amazing footage of your northern Canadian experience 95% of this world would be terrified of this venture good on you
Hallo Jim!
I am so excited to come along with my two favorite brothers. Thanks for the invite! Another thing your drone work just as such a fantastic dynamic to your video.
My fav part was you helping Ted assemble his pack canoe . Brotherly love helps make you rich . My gosh , Huge fish . wonderful adventure. Couldn't sleep , enjoyed video at 3am . as always you make me smile .
You’re very welcome! I learned that the pile of rocks was actually likely a fox trap to lure foxes away from the cave where thugs were cached as opposed to another cache. It looked a lot different than stone fox traps I’ve seen before. Anyways, what an amazing ancestral territory, the beauty is on another level and we feel it’s sacred. Wait until you see what we find in the coming days!! By the way, my name in Inuktitut is Katoliok - the tall one. It came about because I overheard guys calling me that and I asked them. They called me that because they forgot my name but then it just stuck.
@JimBairdAdventurer, I did the Hood River in 1989 in my 1968, 20'', Grumman, Aluminum, Freighter, Canoe, but did not have the luxury of taking my video camera of the day a Sony Umatic Broadcast Camera and Deck that weighed 45-50# and cost $50,000 and filmed on 3/4", 30-minute broadcast tapes that cost $30-40 ea., and you needed a minimum of 8-10 tapes just to get enough footage for a 22 minute TV episode, so it was not practical. Also, people complain about GoPro batteries no lasting. The camera batts. we had back in the day lasted about 15 mins. tops and you had to use 2 batts. on the camera just to power it, and they weighed about 3# each. So you had to carry approximately 20 batts. for a field shoot, so you had about 60# just in batteries. Needless to say, it was a job, in-and-of-itself just to film in the field. And we had no way to re-charge those batteries in the field. We also did not have SAT phones, GPS w/SAT Comms, or anything. I was on my own until the bush plane came to pick up me and my gear. I sat for 4 1/2 days beyond the scheduled day due to weather. It's amazing how far video production has come in a relatively short period of time.
great video so much more interesting then when you were away and someone else was doing the editing , hope to see much more of this trip , beautiful country and those falls are gorgeous , with all that noise do you think you will get much sleep .

In my perfect dream...i would have spent the day paddling a canoe in the Canadian wilderness with my new best friends, Jim and Tori and Ted Baird, Xander, Maxim, Dad and Thais Budnick, . Then at night I would lie in my hammock, listening to the crackle of the campfire and the loons on the water, while the Bairds and Budnicks chatted about their adventures by the fire. Oh, and the dudes from Canoe the North and Lost Lakes would stop by too! Yeaaahhhhhh!!!!

'A cup of 5 minute rice', 'How much is a cup?' as he digs his hand into the bag. Reminds me of a Charles Bronson recipe that called for 'a fistful of milk'. Loving this special episode.
Wow Jim & Ted this is one of my favorites you guys are so good at fishing. Nice lakers in such a remote part of our country. I love nature and you guys rock. When fishing tackle is hung up on the bottom when fishing from a boat, or can wade to the spot, we always reel our line in until the tip of the pole goes down to the lure as close as it can and then methodically wiggle it back and forth from all directions, 99% of the time the snag can be undone without submerging in the water.
Agreed but this dinner plate lure somehow wound up under a rock. It’s amazing how these spoons find their way between the very rocky bottom here. That method you’re mentioning works amazing with jig heads and hard minnow lures…and I line spinners too.
@JimBairdAdventurer, Eppinger Daredevle Spoons are the only lure I have used since I was 10 y.o., never needed anything else. I have caught sunfish, perch, bluegill, walleye, bass (Sm & Lg mouth,) pike, rainbows, coho, steels, muskie, etc., all on daredevles. I have tried others, but always go back to the tried and true Red & White. I, too, would be diving for my Daredevle. Ted, you should light your Thermacell and set it on the Spray Deck in front of you. I have done that while paddling through bugs and it has kept them away.

Hey Jim, did you say that dehydrated beef stew wasn’t very tasty?? I wonder if you cook the beef and broth, perhaps some barley cook and dehydrate. Then cook your vegis, dehydrate. Vacuum seal the dehydrated components together, then reconstitute with boiling water. I wonder if the flavor would be more beef stew like.🤔 Just a thought.

Thanks a lot, ya when you visit communities in the north and their dump is on fire as they regularly do open dump burns there, it gives you some perspective. Burning your garbage is what’s typically done on these types of trips.
Less watching you eat and fish and more adventure would be Great. After a couple meals and menus it gets boring.
Ahh, sorry you didn’t like that. The 100kms of lakes at the beginning of this trip should have been condensed down more. That being said, the fishing has been such a highlight of this trip to people so, you can’t be everything g to everyone I guess.
Nothing new the past videos all in one...I thought we'll maybe something new.. nope 2.5 hours bummer
It’s all the past videos condensed down so a recap on the first part of the series. There will be a new one out next week though.
Love your show but in America it is non stop political ads on YT. It makes watching your videos cringe. Just wanted you to know what your viewers see Jim😊
Oh man, no one is watching those and just skipping them at best. Means I don’t get a share. I dint have a say in it anyway.
I like the long form, thanks for the adventure JiM!
Finally headed over to Teds channel and subbed hoping to see his POV and especially his meals..Alas, no go.🫤
