Just starting to watch this Harvey. I have a MKIII, which I bought off my brother in 1979, he had since 1972. All good.

Hi Mike, lovely to see you here, hope you are feeling a lot better ? Yep going to change all those caps on the speed control board plus all those other split Rifa caps then finally all the others on the plug in boards, lot of work but worth it in the end.

That's some wonderful engineering there harvey.
That's what you call a transformer!
I love the module design look in these old things.
It looks like a work of art.
I once had a late 60's farfisa organ that had a back flip lift up lid like a jukebox.
when opened, all of its modules with those blue philips & ducatti capacitors
and resistors sitting on very neatly displayed long module boards.
It looked very striking. It had a large spring reverb box in the speaker chamber.

hi harvy a great m/c w4ell worth the effort to get it fixed
i spent years triying to get hold of a 4 track slow spead that i could afford
I had 2 high speed 2 track witch i ended up selling. the revox mains leads are very expensive as are the NAB adaptors.

Hi Rob, yep the original 2 pin leads are expensive but the 3 pin IEC sockets are cheap and are easy to replace, just cant understand why someone installed a Bulgin socket as those leads are equaly expensive, lol.

Without even watching the video, it seems that there is some Rifa caps used in that device. They very often are unrealiable and can blow in a very unpleasant way.

Yep they sure can, thanks for watching. Yep The Rifa caps have to be changed asap.
