You can tell it has been done by a profesional, most amateurs would have such a large tank stocked with a lot more fish! I would have like 400 Rummy-nose tetras!
How do you spell the name of the plant you said that’s like anubius but can grow in substrate please? Great video by the way, I shall be subscribing! 😃
What I really like is your style of mixing sound and speech. It allows plenty of undisturbed time for thinking, admiration and contemplation. Many thanks for this little masterpiece of video and aquarium creation to Mark and Juris.
The first time I saw full grown Angelfish I was blown away. I had never seen them anywhere near the full size. This tank is a credit to the builder, I imagine he was inside the tank whilst planting? Truly magnificent, thanks for sharing with us.
Beautiful. Well done the Jurijs It's also at a scale and depth that becomes difficult with small freshwater plants and he's leveraged the hardscape beautifully while still making a beautiful island scape. Really well done. I also love that they incorporated a fleece roller. It a fantastic device gaining quick traction in the marine hobby, and is already well known to those building ponds. But, it hasn't really broken through to the fresh water hobby. I'd assume it's because you need a sump to run it. But, much like dosing pumps, roller mats are a game changer in maintenance.
I love to see the fresh water tanks take advantage of reef systems and automation. I feel that is lacking in tropical planted systems. Beautiful scape and Aultums.
Absolutely Breathtakingly Beautiful. I recognized those Angelfish right away. The plant selection is spot on as it compliments the purpose of that Aquarium being an Angelfish Aquarium. 👍🙂👍❤️
Great video Mark , I knew this was Juris 2 seconds in !! Ever since George and ADG made a collaboration video they were in a private residence with a very huge custom aquarium and a museum curated 🤔 piece of Manzanita and the Altums ....ever since that video ended my goal for a future aquarium was and still is having them in my fish room!!!! Since then I have moved to a new place and finally got the aquarium for Christmas and this Spring I am ordering 7Altums from Gabe Possada and knock on wood the price is still pretty good. Setting up the aquarium today and seeing the filtration system that you showed no other words are needed. The best of luck to your tanks and your channel in 2023 and remember to smash the like ☯️
@@1chriswu2i disagree I think if u have the money the luxury is worth it. As Amano said - Creating nature is the ultimate luxury, so I personally believe in purchasing quality brands and paying the money so I can create something that looks luxurious and like an artwork instead of just an aquarium with fish in it. I want the whole setup to help shine the aquascape
It might be. I know a guy who worked for a small company, which does that. He quit because of commuting and on top of that he had to travel to client locations. The pay was decent I heard.
Love everything i this aquarium exept the wood, but it's just a matter of personal taste, not a big fan of slim branches. Other than that little detail, just amazing and those fishes looks sooo good.
Thicker branches would have been my first choice, unfortunately during covid I wasn’t able to hand select the wood from wholesale supplier and had to make a blind order. In a couple years maybe there will be a makeover
@@JurijsJutjajevs I get it sometimes we have to work with what's availlable. It doesn't ruin the scape either, you make it work and even if they're not my fav at the end of the day the tank looks harmonious and beautifull.
Absolutely sunning and a really well produced video. The only thing I’m not so keen on is wild caught fish, personally I’d prefer them to still be wild. Saying that though, it’s a huge and beautiful aquarium and I’m sure they are probably happy in there.
I understand the initial reaction, but two factors should be considered. Wild spaces are becoming more and more polluted. If a local is paid to catch fish, it means it becomes important to make sure there are fish to catch.
Really beautiful that's a given. How is algae controlled? It looks quite a light room. You'd have to be pretty settled in your house to instal something like that in the living room. There's a workout just cleaning the glass.
Gorgeous fish and great looking aquarium! Altums are pricy, sometimes I see them available in LFS and other places. I could probably get them in LFS for about 35 Euro (850 CZK), if they were Euro-bred 'Orinoco' Altums, imports go over 100 Euro. For Germany 200 euro is quite normal price, aquarium fish cost more there. I did consider them in the past, but they'd need 65cm tall tank. It might be possible with 60 cm bare bottom, but it doesn't seem ideal. Jurijs tank seems like an ideal environment for them.
These are wild Altum from Vichada with red spots. I was told a prominent fish expert was involved in catching them and this particular coloration is again special
Hey @MjAquascaping I’m looking to restart the hobby. What would you say to look out for when buying a 2nd hand tank besides from the obvious scratches and the kit? Are tanks that has algae still ok or do you have to rigorously clean them? Do you have a video on cleaning a tank before use?
Search cleaning old tanks by simply betta, there's a couple products she uses you might want. Other than that, if the tank looks older you may want to consider redoing the silicone.
Yeah indeed scratches and silicone. I would want to see it filled with water before I buy it. Algae is usually quite easy to clean, and same goes for hard water marks.
I love my Angels, but MAN they’ve gotten to be a pain once they matured and started pairing off! Had to buy another tank to separate the males and females.
What do you guys think of the angelfish and the tank? Also don't forget to smash that like button!

Even a fat monthly check can't do justice to Juris's masterpiece. That's my opinion... Breathtaking bravo!!!
that hardscape is beautiful. So are those angels.
Such an elegant aquarium. This is my favorite of his works so far.
From the thumb nail I knew it was the tank Juris scaped 😂 beautiful scape and I love those Angel fish
There is just something about a tank that can be viewed from every side its just simply beautiful 😍
This ist the most magical aquarium and fish I've ever seen 😍
Impresionantes, esta especie de Altum es majestuosa y en un acuario de estas características deben llegar a ser enormes!!!
They are regal and majestic, the divas of the fish world
Wow, this tank is a dream 😍
I love such big tanks because they can offer a much better habitat.

Прекрасный аквариум! Он излучает свет и доброту!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
Really a very nice aquarium. The tranquility that emanates from it and the truly beautiful angelfish. My dream aquarium 😍

Just Perfect,great work done here.
What a great video, Mark, thank you. You always have great music in your videos
Beautiful 🤩
Amazing Aquarium 👍
Great fish
Congratulations on a job well done!
Great tank and great fish
if that weir for the overflow was in the corner or on a side pannel it would be less distracting from the rest of the tank
It’s fun to dream…..😊 thanks for sharing
That's stunning. Great setup.
Like no have water,, so beautiful
Very beautiful❤

Schismatoglotis prietoi

just a stunning tank. mesmerising
Só beautiful
if that bursts, the bourgeois shack is for the dustbin
The rich love lakefront property, right?
My dream tank! I'd probably switch out the rummy nose tetras for cardinals, though.

Fancy seeing Jurijs here!
too bad he rarely upload any video lately :(
This is so cool
A school of discus/tetra would be perfect
What happened to 80 corydoras and 160 Rummynose tetras...?
thats amazing
new top the channel man but really love it!
Wow amazing beautiful
Simply a dream 😍.
Beautiful tank, amazing setup. Love the idea of a separate 'filter' room, but I don't agree with keeping wild caught fish at all
Amazing
Superb tank and scape, do you have any details on the lighting used please? Looks perfect considering the depth of the aquarium .
Thanks.
👍
Très joli bac 😊
im speechless on this build...i mean the price..😅
what’s the temperature of this tank? how did you seem to balance temperature for Altums notorious and plants

I love 💕 it
Are you using co2 system in this tank?
Terrific 😍😍
I already follow your friend.. and George farmer ..
What is the size of this tank..in l × w× h...and thickness of glass
Fantastic, just not keen on the wild caught, surely there are enough stunning strains of captive bred Angel Fish.
I wonder what the substrate consists of. Thanks for bringing this video.
Soil bags & root caps all covered with a thick layer of gravel!
Which floating plants are used in this layout?
Amazon frogbit 😊
WOWWWW 😍😍
Amazing aquarium. What snails did he say were added?
Horned nerite, Clithon sp.
Fantastic video. What kind of snails did you say he used to eat algae in the tank? I didn’t quite catch the name.
Clithon snails! Also known as horned nerite snails 😊
May I know what cosmetic sand is that?? Much appreciated.
Standard 2mm gravel from LFS sold in 20kg bags
What LED Lights are those?
I hope Jurijs starts posting update videos soon. It's been 5 months since his last video
I heard he might be uploading a video in the next few days 😊
There is one in the making right now. Almost finished 😉
That is great news!!!
whats the glass thickness size?
i think 20mm
what snails are they?
Clithon snails
What snails?
When I say I want an angelfish tank, this is what I mean, lol
Feeds the fish once a week? Did I hear that correctly? He comes home just once a week to a place with this nice of an aquarium?
No no 😂 this tank is from one of his customers. So he comes over once a week to do maintenance. Feeding is automated as well
Exquisite

I wonder too. Some plants have eggs on them, but the rocks are clean 🤷 😅
How thick is the glass?
I believe it's 20mm
Do you class uk as EU?
Wish the angels had some more cover
There is plenty of floating plants
