@@Reksmore you are one of the few people on here who teaches players about terrain and its effect on a build. Hell, hardly anyone talks about the effect that certain materials/upgrades have on a build as well.
Pro-tip: Always face your Garage doors with the rollers towards a Square, and no more clipping out. Also, throw a lock on the locker and a triangle frame to make it SIGNIFICANTLY more expensive to loot.
@@Jay311xx the triangle frame just makes it so they can’t loot the tc by jumping through the window frame. It also prevents soft siding if the walls are still stone
Armored the foundation for bunker, and ad some honeys on the second lootroom, maybe add ramps in there too, roof should be metal. Allso the outerwall where funeses next to bunker should be matal aswell
The over view of the base is dope keep up the good work I’m new to rust so it really helps a lot seeing it from the top to as you explain how to build it 🤝
It's not a bad spot to stop! That's why I added the easy option for it, still plenty of expansion options into other bases with great value for what it is
Ngl normally I'm not too big a fan of your builds they are normally too quirky for me but you by far have the best easy to follow build through of your builds and you do the most important thing in your build throughs... you explain why you are building it like this through out the build awesome video keep them up and I may have to start collecting skulls in your name on console edition lol
Built the base, went well apart from a screw-up on the airlock on top, so now an wonky roof ;). Seems cosy and added some vending machines, 10/10 for ease of build .
For those of you who may wish to know upgraded metal 24hr upkeep: Fully armored core, furnace area and crux bunker foundation included is aprox. 50-60 HQM. Sheet metal for everything else, honeycomb included, is just under 2k Frags. Almost, if not doubles raid cost, and doable for a consistent player 👏
Also - the salvages shelf trick is neat, but if you use a triangle shelf it will count as being attached to the TC doorframe and therefore will block soft siding it
True but if you're going to be a trio you need to use the salvaged shelves to get that 3rd bag in. I haven't built this base design yet so im not 100% sure lol
@@jaimesonjohnson6673 it was a “recent” change (more than a year old still) that facepunch made where you cannot soft side a wall if a floor or floor triangle is connected to it in the middle. I’m not sure why, I just know that that’s how it works
You really need to honey big loot room and also spend a bit of HQM for the ceilings. Either way it’s two doors and straight down through floor to main loot.
@@Trainthereaper assume every raider has esp if you play high pop because players raiding on main server are usually very experienced or cheating and sometimes both.
one thing i'd do is make the tc as close to the 2nd square foundation as possible and then place a square floor so i can fit a whole loot room in there,while still having space for 1 furnace tier 3 and bags
Great job keep up the good work the only thing I would like to add is a nice slow beautiful cozy tour of the base once it’s finished I respect it if you don’t want to add skins but a nice low tour and sealing the bunker at the end and all the hard work would be appreciated thank you great video
Instead of walling off the triangle next to the airlock I like to put 2 windows in my base design Instead so you can look out to make sure you're not getting door camped. I like to put a door on that triangle as well so people can't just casually look in and see your base layout. You can also put embrashers on the windows keeping a hammer near by so you can easily sneak kill the rats lurking around outside. Just a small change I'd personally make to make the base more defendable and less desirable to door campers
Survived pretty long as a duo. 2 failed raid attempts by a much larger 10 man. Waited for us to be offline then would fail due to my EU buddy being on when I’m asleep. Get a buddy who is almost the opposite time zone just because when your at work they are keeping the base up, same with you.
just got this done as my second main half way thru wipe, ive added more honey and armoured up the roof, steel and armour core, added hatch in the roof exit. windmill and turrets up today and maybe an outer wall with some TCs. Just been cleaned out but managed to put this together with leftovers and BP's I had, took all night and making last upgrades today see how it fairs against the MLRS
might want to add as well that you cant place the boxes when the roof placement is done outside the base, leave them as twig until you have placed all the boxes.
You put a bag or bed in the tc room so u can spawn in break the twig hafe wall and it will brake the bunker for yall wondering don’t forget to put bed or u will be sealed out of your own base
Guys if you are new to Rust or just new to base building, I recommend to just use stability bunkers because they are easy, quick to build and will never get pactched like all others "meta" bunkers
@3:00 you explain closing off the base if going offline. How do you get back into it since you can’t destroy the building after so long? Sorry if this one’s easy, I’m still new to the game.
I don't know why, but I put the twig half wall and sealed it, when I broke the twig half wall it didn't unseal and I basically wiped myself since I couldn't get my main loot out

can you make a base like this but a farm base for hemp, berry, or other. solo duo. i like the idea of a 2x2 but trying to not build two layers is challenging. i personally dont mind only doing three planters because i have to also figure out how to live in it with most of your important deployables. it makes it even harder to deploy a bunker like rust concepts with a lower floor and 2 raised foundations so you can put in a half/ low wall and it seals. ive tried using honeycomb to put deployables but its a pain sometimes. love this base idea and im gonna try and modify it to be a farmer base thats livable. not enough love for that type of farm base but what can you do. lol it you can come up with something and have it feel like an evil wurst (hope he comes back some day) then that would be the icing on the cake. keep up the good work. also if you do a base sepperate from the planterbox farm base i mentioned and utilize a mini hanger, that would be epic! something small ish, easy to build in a quick manner and can be spamable acros the map.

ahhhh. Took me a second to see what you were asking. So no. If you look at the shot from 2:50, you will see that its hard side metal, and the softside of exterior stone wall, and then places hard side metal towrds the exterior wall. So if someone blows into the stone outside wall where the furnaces are, their facing all hard sides. They could shoot out the bunker twig. But they've already gone through 4 rockets, and then have to either blow the SM short wall, or the stone halfway hardside, or go around and blow both doors, to get to the now open bunker. Through the other path if they've already gotten into the bunker, they can just loot the furnaces so softside facing you doesn't much matter as they're in the bunker anyways.

Just built this on a creative server, and noticed a few things and want to clarify. 1. The honeycomb furnace area with the low wall looks to be a weak point? If raiders go through the wall behind the furnaces, they can shoot through the low wall gap to break the twig and open the bunker. Then soft side the half wall above the low wall. 2. The triple level loot room is vulnerable with only stone walls and should be honeycombed or upgraded above stone.
Nice build suggestion, will have to try it out! I'm a fan of having the research table/repair bench incorporated into the design, so annoying to always pull them out and try to fit them somewhere. If I wanted to also fit in a mixing table somewhere in there did you have any recommendations?
Yeah I'd just lose the 2 lockers on the 2nd floor if you really wanted to keep the mixing table down! Otherwise I'd prob just put it down and pick it up personally

No worries, so when you close the bunker make sure to only upgrade the floor tile, The half wall should still be twig, To open it again you'll need to respawn in your bag and break the half wall, which will cause the floor tile to fall because there's nothing for it to connect to (cant connect to foundations or 1/3rd walls)
I play console. Used it Last wipe and got offline raided 2 times. Both times they just quit lmaoo so I see this as an absolute win! Ima use it again this wipe!! I have a few ideas on how to make it even better!!
Cool base, but in the secondary loot room with the 2 furnaces the two small boxes are absolutely unusable. You even say “these boxes are all still easily accessible” but don’t ever open those 2. I couldn’t find any way to open them once the loot room is complete

No, I've been asking all around but can't find any haha. I just want a drawing of a blueprint I can look at before making my base because that's easier than watching a RUclips clip while I make it😅

Okay so very cool base design but I'm so confused with these bunkers. Like when u seal it with stone like the first example. How do you get out? Do you just always have to have a couple of jackhammer and time to break them?
So when you seal it you leave the bottom half wall twig and connect the floor piece to that. Upgrade only the floor piece. Then to open spawn in bag and break twig

If you slide both large boxes on the shelf to one side or the other, you can get a small box on both the upper and lower shelves.

This is a great base design, although I basically skipped the extra storage it still has so much space for a solo

You can put a 1x1 at the bottom of the ramp that’s walled off that does the same thing but then you can add auto turrets and shotgun traps

You'd keep that inside half wall as twig, it can't be destroyed from the outside, but with a bag inside you could open it up easily!

You can put the the sleeping bag down if you do it b4 adding the triangle. You just can't ever move the bag but that's how I run my 1x1 with a bunker.

Ever since I’ve built this base it’s survived 4 offlines and 2 onlines, will never build any other base.

I play console. Used it Last wipe and got offline raided 2 times. Both times they just quit lmaoo so I see this as an absolute win! Ima use it again this wipe!! I have a few ideas on how to make it even better!!

Cool base, but in the secondary loot room with the 2 furnaces the two small boxes are absolutely unusable. You even say “these boxes are all still easily accessible” but don’t ever open those 2. I couldn’t find any way to open them once the loot room is complete

Im new (only 50 hours), do you have to use a garage door for that jump up? I dont think ill get my hands on a garage door for a while, and the double door makes the space in that jump up too small. Thanks in advance for amy info on this

Stupid question for a new player. How do you seal and unseal this bunker once it’s built? There’s a brief explanation early on but no explanation once it’s built. Can someone help please?
This bunker is a stability bunker. Breaking the twig piece from the inside will open it

No, I've been asking all around but can't find any haha. I just want a drawing of a blueprint I can look at before making my base because that's easier than watching a RUclips clip while I make it😅
@@rubke2 Ahhh ok. From what I can see this was a thing like 3-4 yrs ago, and it was a website... that has been down for a while. IE nothing can do it now, I did a few google searches, and don't see anything that still does it.

Okay so very cool base design but I'm so confused with these bunkers. Like when u seal it with stone like the first example. How do you get out? Do you just always have to have a couple of jackhammer and time to break them?
So when you seal it you leave the bottom half wall twig and connect the floor piece to that. Upgrade only the floor piece. Then to open spawn in bag and break twig
Why the drop boxes? when I build this on a build server they're out in the open? is supposed to be enclosed and suicide-only access storage?
It's mostly for extra storage, but also to confuse raiders into thinking that room is more valuable than it is

A big component of good base design is misdirection... which reksmore is really good at.
i don't understand how it can be 23+ rockets to TC. Even if you upgrade the outer honeycombs to metal, its 16 rockets to both TC and main loot
at 3:00 you say if you need to log off upgrade the place and out but i dont know what i am missing here. u cannot demolish them anymore right?
I made this base and was getting online raided, I sealed it up armored right before they got in, they just packed their stuff and left

Hey by chance do you have a video on the expansion?
If you rotate the tear 3 you can place 2 boxes under it and simply rotate it back into the correct way.
