Dale Watson reminds me of John Schneider. He looks somewhat like him & talks & sounds like him. No take into consideration i was watching this on my small phone screen! Lol! No i wasn't drinking along with you two!! Lol! It would have been fun to have though!! You two did a good job!! ❤❤ ❤❤❤❤❤
Love this! We visit Memphis every 12 to 18 months. Never have had a chance to see Dale perform but we have Hernando’s Hideaway on our list of venues to visit. Of course, Graceland and Sun Studios are a must! And no one, in my opinion, can touch Jerry Lee Lewis!
Dale er Bakersfield Dale is awesome. Gonna catch him and Reverend Horton Heat in Phoenix in March. Who knew that he was a tiki guy?!?! George Dickel is from Normandy, Tenn.
I listened to "Truckstop in La Grange" soooo many times while I was writing the Chicken Ranch book. It makes me happy that Dale's into tiki. He's got a standing invitation to come drink mai tais in the Lagoon of Mystery the next time he plays Gruene Hall. 😁
The silver fox.. "did you happen to see the most beautiful girl...." sorry getting carrying away. Absolutely great episode Spike! Dale is such a easy going guy considering all that he has done an seen.
Never a dull moment with the Breezeway. A little laugh, a little culture and a little drink, Another great show!!! Perhaps we will see an episode where Mallort is a incorporated into a Tiki cocktail.
Fantastic show! Dales stories were incredible plus he is really funny. I need to stay at his house that place looks amazing. One point of clarification, Bourbon can be made in any state not just Kentucky to be called Bourbon. The only thing it must be is made in the United States and must be made of at least 51% corn in the mash bill. There is an old saying "all Bourbon is Whiskey but not all Whiskey is Bourbon." Great job Matt!!
Awesome guest. How is this man so humble? This episode is interesting for too many reasons. The Lone Star segments with the stage lighting was perfect. He nailed it. Don’t know how he drinks that stuff! I tried it, even in Texas, and it’s plain awful IMO. Love me the Shiner Bock though. What an interesting and active life this fella keeps leading. Very inspiring. He summed it up perfectly when you warned him of the “internet” before shaking the Orgeat: basement people. That’s perfect! The people out there not doing anything, but judging… they’re basement people lol. Awesome stuff 👏👏bravo!
I saw Dale last Thursday night at the Hook and Ladder theater in Minneapolis. He was great, as usual, and funny! What a truly cool dude. Im pretty sure Dalle would have a drink (Lonestar?) with a fan if he had the time.
Good night Spike! Good night Dale!😂 Great episode so far. I don’t have oranges tonight, but I am definitely gonna try this drink. I’ve got Old Grandad bourbon here at home.
My god what a great time you must have had making this! I could listen to his stories all day. I’m going to have to watch this one again for sure great episode Spike! You tube won’t let me post what I want but know it had to do with the malort lmao
3oz of orange juice? Eeesh! Sounds like a pain in the ass. The Molokai Mule calls for 2 oz and I’m so glad when I’m finished hand-squeezing for that drink. Gotta get a large mechanical squeezer for oranges and grapefruit.
Great episode! Bourbon doesn’t need to be made in Kentucky though. It does have to be made in America in new America white oak barrels, 51% corn mash bill , at minimum 40 ABV.
Bourbon must be distilled in the USA, not just Kentucky, and follows other rules. Tennessee Whiskey follows all the rules of bourbon but is charcoal filtered, technically still bourbon.
Great show! Dale is fantastic…could listen to him talk anytime; a legend who hung with the legends ❤ Respect 👏👏👏…and he likes corks 👍
What a great episode. These long episodes is where it's at!!! Had me laughing throughout. That Mallort shot at the end. Priceless.
I agree. I love the longer episodes too.
Dale is hilarious!!! I loved this show. Spike, you did an amazing job. Get more guests like this on your show.
I'd love to have more musicians on!
At least the funny & witty ones. 😂
Love Asleep at the
Wheel!
me too!
Classic!
Dale Watson + Tiki = Terrific! Thanks Spike.

That was a fun thing to watch.
Lone Star Beer, it tastes like freedom and makes you grow hair on places that you want it, spilled some on my cat and now it’s a Pit Bull.
lol. Top comment.
I’m straight on airBnb to see how much it is to stay at Lil’ Gracelands!!
Yesss
You have to have them back on!!!
I'd love to!
Lone Star commercial breaks 😂😂😂 comedic genius 👏
I love listening to Dale's, he's a good storyteller, musician and entertainer as well. He's my all-time favorite ❤️🔥❤️🌹

One of the best episodes. Dale's Lone Star ads are hilarious.
My two favorite things - tiki drinks and Dale! Such a fun video!
That was a lot of fun. And I also paused midway to order The Lansky Bro book!

Love that Dale guy, you gotta have him back on the show Cheers
Dale er Bakersfield Dale is awesome. Gonna catch him and Reverend Horton Heat in Phoenix in March. Who knew that he was a tiki guy?!?!
George Dickel is from Normandy, Tenn.
If you get to meet Dale, tell him that you saw him on the show!

Tiki-ko is a great spot!

Rockabilly Beetlejuice and spike! … SHOWTIME 🔥🗿🤘🏼
Wow, Dale is hilarious! Great episode, gonna have to try the drink as well (not the Malört).
Aloha from Burlington, Vermont! Tuning in live from “pregaming” a little at a venue we have called the Venetian Soda Lounge, and their “Tiki Weekend”.
Good night Spike! Good night Dale!😂 Great episode so far. I don’t have oranges tonight, but I am definitely gonna try this drink. I’ve got Old Grandad bourbon here at home.
Dale likes my favorite tiki bar, Tiki-Ko. If you haven't already, you should come up and check it out someday Spike. Mug Club Wednesday is a fun day.
A cool conversation about classic country music - it’s a genre I’m
Not to familiar with, but these stories are great!
I really enjoyed this episode. Dale was a great guest. I wish you two had more time to talk. The drink looked good as well
Hopefully we can do this again some time!
Why do I have a sudden craving for beer???
lol
Looks like a great bar, great guest, and great drink!! 😎 well…except for the Malort ☠️
Real Southerners know the power of Sonic ice
This guy's great. Put him and your friend Justin scared together and hit record and watch the shenanigans.
lol
Perfect advertisement timing
My god what a great time you must have had making this! I could listen to his stories all day. I’m going to have to watch this one again for sure great episode Spike! You tube won’t let me post what I want but know it had to do with the malort lmao
Hahahaha...
Lone Star
💌
Is lime juice supposed to be in it or not? I really enjoyed your shooting the video at Dale's place with Dale! Cool guy!
No lime juice in this one :)

Ah, thanks!
@dougrs1983 Does not have to be American Oak. Just has to be new, charred Oak. Can be any Oak from anywhere in the world.
Lone star is tip top
Aloha Spike and fellow Breezetonians 🍹!
Anybody else use this show to make a list of tiki bars to go to
The Malort banter 😂 Satan distilled Campari first. 👹👹👹
Ew.... Campari... AND absinthe... yuck
I just peed too!😂
Lone Star 😆😅🤣😂😆😅🤣😂🤙
bleeping out sh*t but not f*ck is a Spike chef's kiss
hahahhahahaa...
It's embarrassing watching a man I respect as much as Dale interact with this beta.
Bourbon must be distilled in the USA, not just Kentucky, and follows other rules. Tennessee Whiskey follows all the rules of bourbon but is charcoal filtered, technically still bourbon.
Thanks for the info!
He ended up stealing the show with that malort speech 😂
Lone Star beer? Really?
What an incredible guest and an awesome episode!
