Hi there, wondering if you can help me. I need to replace my air conditioning unit (beneath the head unit). I've tried pulling underneath the trim piece (so get my fingers atop the ashtray lid)..it doesn't budge though. Am hoping I don't need to remove the head unit to get to it?
Hi, Trying to add Westfalia tow-bar wiring to a 2016 Passat Estate. This requires removing the entire glove-box, inc. infotainment electronics, to take the fuse-box out and add extra wire from the back. Their instructions for removing the glove-box are wrong. Any chance of showing the right way?

Get a scosche loc 2sl line output converter and tap into the front or rear speaker leads. The scosche unit also adds a 12V remote out which you would need for an amplifier turn on.
I also want to install an active subwoofer, for example under the seat or in the trunk under the adjustable floor. Has anyone tried it? Do you connect it to the CD in the glove department or do I have to remove also the headunit? THANKS

its not head unit, this is only display. head unit (MIB) is in glove box :)
What about the ignition? You can't just install a double din because it won't turn off with the car and will kill the battery for a Passat.
Is it possible to install subwoofer to this car stereo?

No I toughed it out, took me a while though, I replaced it with a Clock from the C class Mercedes it’s the same clock with IWC branding
