I feel like if BeamNG's particles stuck around longer then it would look better. Instead, all the little crash particles (bits of glass, plastic, and metal) just fade instantly and the crash site looks too clean. That's why I thought Next Car Game looked better at first. After this video it is obvious that BeamNG is better, however I think that it could be even better.

people say the next car game or what ever is better because u can push through cars with no effort but the thing is that may be what they like but to me personally beamng drive is better because it's more realistic
I just wish BeamNG.drive had more particles like NCG or had better performance to enable things like what you see in NCG. Try spawning up 20 cars all with AI's doing random things in BeamNG.drive and your computer probably will die... But I don't like the lack of realism in NCG as much. As stated in the video, they're both good for their own reasons. BeamNG.drive more for simulation, and NCG for arcade, competitive gameplay and more for fun. Kinda like the PC vs Console argument. They're really not comparable. The reason NGC looks so glitchy is because they never had a slow motion mode to take into mind so beam ng was designed so crashes could be slowed down and you could see all the parts deform and crumble but next car game wasn't built like that, it was built as a Demo Derby game and wasn't designed to do that, clearly the creator has used a slow motion effect on the game and that's why it doesn't look right
Next Car Game runs maxed out with 23 AI cars in 2560x1440 on my PC no problem, whereas BeamNG struggles to get past 30 fps with highest settings on some maps. That is the best thing about Next Car Game. BeamNG is better in almost every single other way.

I must say, BeamNG.Drive is lacking some needed particle effects. When viewing IRL crashes, you see way more items flying out of the hood than in beamNG.Drive. I hope that gets added sooner or later.
It seems that although the initial impact is both unrealistic and extremely quick, it does seem that the amount of parts a pieces that crumble and fly off is far greater than that of Beam.NG. Also, parts do not glitch along the lines of texture and conflicting all together. However, the physics are dwarfed by that of Beam.NG. Momentum, suspension reaction, gravity, all play a role in what gets crushed first and worst. Beam.NG also takes in factor not just breakage but deformation as well. For example, the suspension on the left-front wheel will bend if it hits the ground very hard, but not hard enough to separate pieces of metal. As such, the car is effected by this unless repaired or somehow counter-acted. As of typing this, the cars in Beam.NG have no real livery. A few solid colors that's really all you get. NCG not only brings in multiple colors, but also numbers, 'sponsors', and even dirt that builds up [even if some or all of that is pre-textured but I still think it counts in this case]. NCG seems to also focus on environmental damage as well as vehicle as well as more eye-candy such as the fact the skid-markings are thick but inconsistent [which in this case is a good thing], and also focus on more particles that do not directly effect the player or the cars. It seems that [to an extent] the NCG cars want to stay upright more so than the BeamNG ones, and seem to roll-over in a manner that also suggests that this is intended. Also, it seems you will have a much greater chance of driving away in the NCG cars versus the ones in BeamNG. They each have their own strengths and weaknesses, but I honestly am not entirely sure which one I could title 'superior'. All of us have our own opinions, and as such there is no real right or wrong answer as to which is better.
Ok, so..... BeamNG.Drive is a car crash simulator with hard to drive physics and is being made by people who made another game named RigsOfRods, and both of their games are fun.... Next Car Game is an arcade racing game made by Bug Gear, the people who made the Flatout Series, which was an amazing racing game series..... so, all in all, who the hell cares, buy them both.
Maybe consider using the Moonhawk in place of the Grand Marshal just because they're are similar looking muscle cars. But nice video. I was considering getting NCG on Steam when it was on sale but it looks like that times over. They seriously need to lower the price. It's not worth 30$ imo. But still a nice game
BeamNG: Realistic crashes. Next Car Game: More optimized, more interacting/moving objects, better handling, AI, better graphics, and almost 100% destruction. Correct me if I am wrong.
Beam ng drive all the way. We have been waiting for a realistic car crashing game forever and we for it. Next car game is just like any other car crashing game realistic crashing takes the cake
On beamNG the bodywork of the car is more rubbery,on next car game is more static and less realistic if the two games mix each other will make the perfect CAR GAME
Can't wait for beam to have racing and real AI. It's so much more fun to crash your car in BeamNG than Next Car Game because in NCG you can destroy it to the point of two wheels and it'll still run hahaha
about the same except the tech and graphic i play both and beamng is like a better version ( they got #$$$ to make it..... While Rigs of rods lost about everyone that was developing it
You can't really compare the two, BeamNG is made for more realistic side of things, and NCG is made for carmaggedon-like crashes where you can keep driving after you deform the hell out of your car...
Both games end up looking great in the end. BeamNG.Drive has a really nice look for those who enjoy seeing a car mangled in slow motion. NCG has an amazingly large amount of possible damage to be done (watch some of the videos where they go through the grinder-would NOT get those results in BeamNG), but don't listen to me! Build your own opinions by getting both and trying them for yourself.
BeamNG has more of a fluent slow-mo crash. NCG on the other hand has more of like it just hits the wall and does nothing for a sec, then it's just caves in.
Beamng is a simulator, so it have to be realistic But the car in beamng seems to be made of very light metal, and this metal move like a plastic toy ! I don't say that is not interesting to test crashes in beamng but it's not really realistic. In next car game, we can sense the weight of the car and the metal seems to be heavy..like metal.
With Beam i can agree on that while using keyboard. If you go on good steering wheel with good force feedback (currently ffb in BeamNG is on early stages but already enjoyable) then everything changes. You can "feel" that weight of cars. "But the car in beamng seems to be made of very light metal, and this metal move like a plastic toy !" I assume you mean wobbling of parts, that happens in real life everytime but energy is suppresed almost instantly that you can't even see it. Everything wobbles, even solid rock. When playing on keyboard i too have that feeling that cars are made from paper, but again, with steering wheel you can feel BIG diffrence. I was riding Ibishu Covet on default setting for over an hour without reseting and i wasn't giving it easy time, constantly burning rubber, sliding on corners and stuff and after all that car was almost untouched, apart from finally when i hit curb sideways and that was end of the ride. Notice i wasn't saying anything that physics is realistic or not because i have not seen live how everything happens in real life (sure you can view videos online but that's not the same thing)
Beam.ng = modern cars Ncg or wreckfest =old school cars This is in terms of endurance like how modern cars don't have as much durability as old school cars
beamng is more realistic, nextcargame is more action. Beamng is more realtime, while nextcargame only does the crash update on impact once, while beamng doesnt, If you watch it slowly nextcargame only updates the damage onces. Its like that to reduce lagg
Both are realistic, however BeamNG.drive fully relies on soft body mechanics, so every crashes look different, and has very realistic slowmo scenes but performance is sacrifised. Next Car Game on the other hand, focuses on framerate more so "soft body" there are only used to calculate how hard the crashes (more like it's only on the physics end not visuals), then the game chooses one from the very very many rigid conditions of the car depending on the collision hardness calculation. That's why it's not so beautiful in slowmo.
keep in mind Next car game is a arcade racer with COMPLETELY DESTRUCTIBLE ENVIRONMENTS. and Beamng is a Physics Sandbox game. Both are fantastic in their own way. Beamng requires a much better PC.
I dont know where it is, but I remember an update regarding the crashing system for NCG (It's likely Beam has been upgraded too but I dont follow beam aswell) is there a possibility for an update to this comparison? (Note: I believe the demo version of NCG still uses old system)
+Михаил Корионов Maybe because NCG is way further in development like realistic graphics. BeamNG is way behind as far as I know. But it's what you like :)
If you watched the video, pay attention to how beamng cars crumple. You say that it's like paper? Watch the beamng vs real life video next. NCG may have more features so far, but t is nowhere close on terms of realism.
RaGe Ikr, try to crash it like so the wheels wont come off, and if they're still on while the car has become a piece of garbage metal, the wheels will still fuction, they even stand straight... but one good thing is that they updated it into the "real" game which becomes the final product.
MrBonami2 In real life, you don't see cars crashing with so much elasticity... For example, on this game, a bumper is still giggling one second after a crash.. Do you think that reality is like that ? x)
The reason I havent moved to BeamNG yet is because I don't like how I am not able to stall a vehicle with my G27 wheel, and because in the Demo my framerate is not that great, while my Laptop, yes, I know, not great for gaming, But it is just one year old and is high end. But framerate is not that good I think. How is traction?
+Joeri Smit : I think you should have watched Insanegaz's and Whybeare's videos about Beamng drive before leave those shit comments. When you say that Beamng is harder to see crashes when it's full time, that is equivalent to the lack of slow motion in Next Car Game. In addition, the purpose of each game is different. If you want to simulate a crash, Beamng is the best. If you want a fun game, NCG is an option. Actually, Beamng isn't as boring as it look, all you need is creativity. Overall, you should think clearly before leaving such comments.
+Sai Tay I watch ybr all the time. I never said that in beamng, it's hard to see without slow motion (it is true though). NCG has no slow motion because it's a racing game when I play beamng it does get boring really fast (because I don't mod and I'm not that creative)
People!! If any of u works in a car maker or something, usually there will be crash test right?? If u go Search for slow motion camera real life crash test then u can see how real BeamNG and real life is
Beamng wins! I think the graphics are better, the slow-mo... AND the crash physics. Much more realistic than NCG. To many things fly of the car in NCG even though Beamng has nearly nothing coming off.
Well,Next Car Game car damage is getting smooter and more realistic at every update,as in this video: Wreckfest (Next Car Game) Crash Movie But Beamng car damage is still better.
Oh my god, that some real nostalgic material
yea...

I choose BeamNG's proper crash and Next Car Game's crash effects.
Agreed
yeah
But in Beam NG when you do a crash it makes no fun cause the axles break directly
BeamNG effects, NCGs Crash Physic. Bam

***** I bet you are some 9y/o.
I dont suck anything sorry. I'm not a female dog too.
You know, what's funnyon the next car game it glitches doesn't hit wall and pieces fall off and teleport back
BeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeemNG!!!!
hd
Torque Redline @
next car game= IRON
beamng drive= ALUMINIUM
you know aluminium is stronger then iron, right?
Beam.ng = modern cars
Ncg or wreckfest =old school cars
This is in terms of endurance like how modern cars don't have as much durability as old school cars
beamng is more realistic, nextcargame is more action. Beamng is more realtime, while nextcargame only does the crash update on impact once, while beamng doesnt, If you watch it slowly nextcargame only updates the damage onces. Its like that to reduce lagg
NCG is for crashing stuff and racing, not for watching slo mo
Next Car Game And BeamNG Drive Is A Tie!? Because The Way How it Look Like That You Just Did in Slow Mo and Real Time
--- "Simulator or not, it's only a game, the more damage the more Fun, ..the better".
Computer specs? (and overall cost if possible)
I dont know where it is, but I remember an update regarding the crashing system for NCG (It's likely Beam has been upgraded too but I dont follow beam aswell) is there a possibility for an update to this comparison?
(Note: I believe the demo version of NCG still uses old system)
NCG wins. Not only its more interesting, but its also more realistic. Like seriously, cars in BeamNG feel like paper rather than actual car
NCG may have more features so far, but t is nowhere close on terms of realism.
mcm730 Ikr, in NCG the car is always able to drive someway, but in beamng? Big smash = big crash = total loss
+BrownieBear when I played it, the car got crushed, only only a wheel and a bit of metal was left. Still driving.
RaGe Ikr, try to crash it like so the wheels wont come off, and if they're still on while the car has become a piece of garbage metal, the wheels will still fuction, they even stand straight... but one good thing is that they updated it into the "real" game which becomes the final product.
They are both awesome
I wish they put the ncg car in wreckfest that would be great
BeamNG drive is more realistic but it's too much like chewing gum...
hit at wall at 60kmh and come back to say a car will not act as a chewing gum lol
MrBonami2 I have crashed on those kind of speeds couple times and i have to agree that beamng is bit too "soft"
i hit a wall in beamng with a pickup at 240 kmh with 2200hp was smashed in half i think it not too soft
they are working to make it even more realistic
MrBonami2
In real life, you don't see cars crashing with so much elasticity... For example, on this game, a bumper is still giggling one second after a crash.. Do you think that reality is like that ? x)
why am i seeing a pirated gta 5 add on your video
Very very good
They both just as realistic as each other
One just doesn't have slowmo so putting in that much detail makes no difference in the end
I think Beamng has better physics and realistic crashes :)
the rubber cars remind me of the truck in johnson and friends
muito fooooooooooda!!!!!!!!!!!!
IMAGINE IF BeamNG AND NCG MADE A GAME TOGETHER :0
next car game is version 2.0 (alpha) and beam ng drive already like v 5.1
Nope. BeamNG is in early alpha, 0.3
I wish I could get BeamNG Drive but my computer is missing a file it needs and the directX or whatever isn't up to date.
Plus my computer sucks..
beam realistic but not so good on detales
In find that beamngt or whatever shows what it really looks like compared to next car game
When i was little i used to listen to this video becouse i didnt know about the song and now i do also this is my acc for when i was little❤
I think BeamNG Drive is a simulator while Next Car Game is for fun
The reason I havent moved to BeamNG yet is because I don't like how I am not able to stall a vehicle with my G27 wheel, and because in the Demo my framerate is not that great, while my Laptop, yes, I know, not great for gaming, But it is just one year old and is high end. But framerate is not that good I think. How is traction?
How do you activate slow motion in the NCG tech demo?
You cant
Beamng for both things, realism and fun.
beamng gets boring really fast but NCG has infinite fun with the lawnmower derbies (online)
+Joeri Smit dude how many comments are u on to beamng is just more realistic and ncg is just for fun
+PURPI PUR sorry, I was bored
NCG has no slow motion because it's a racing game
when I play beamng it does get boring really fast (because I don't mod and I'm not that creative)
People!! If any of u works in a car maker or something, usually there will be crash test right?? If u go Search for slow motion camera real life crash test then u can see how real BeamNG and real life is
***** chillax, i was voicing out my opinion, nothing personal, pls dont swear thanks
*****
great song
good song
Amazing song
i like both gqmes but ncg crashes in slow mo is just sh*t personally i prefer beamng but thats just my opinion
*games
Couldn't agree more
+nascar14fan thanks bro :)
Which now that you mention it, is Ironic, considering it is called WRECKfest, not COOLLOOKINGCRASHfest
Ill, l, l,,,l
Car
This is star snipes theme 😎
Beamng wins! I think the graphics are better, the slow-mo... AND the crash physics. Much more realistic than NCG. To many things fly of the car in NCG even though Beamng has nearly nothing coming off.
You can't compare these games realistically, they're completely different
Well,Next Car Game car damage is getting smooter and more realistic at every update,as in this video:
Wreckfest (Next Car Game) Crash Movie
But Beamng car damage is still better.
Deez games r veeery veeery diferent, but i still think Beamng Drive is better
