He realises the kittens have occupied his favorite bed, he is angry, but he is so soft at heart that he can't hurt anyone. even his angry barks are so sweet that the kittens are not afraid of. Bailey is so innocent & full of love.
The barks are towards the human. He knows the human can take the kittens gently and place them elsewhere so his barking at the human to take care of the issue.

Golden retrievers are genuinely the sweetest breed ever and you can't convince me otherwise
He is clearly allah
Dogs almost never will attack anything that isn't attacking or threatening them. The cats sitting their docile is why the dog never attacked.
I love how the kittens just lay there starting as if they don’t understand the problem, there’s plenty of room.
That's what cats normally do when a "member of their staff" throws a small tantrum.
Cats and dogs understand territory very differently. For a dog, what's theirs is theirs, which they are willing to fight for with the help of their pack, or in this case, with the help of the human that the dog is barking for to intervene. Cats, however, are solitary creatures without a pack to back them up. Therefore, when interacting with other cats, they timeshare territory in order to avoid a physical confrontation. If you ever see a cat rubbing their cheek against something, it is marking their territory, specifically to let other cats know when they were last there so that the space can be shared accordingly.
@@pontifixmax So cats are for the streets
They were stinking it up with cat! lol.

This might be the best dog tantrum I've ever seen. He is SOOOO mad, but he knows it's not the kittens' fault and he is so careful not to hurt them!
Yes, because if he hurts them he know he gets scolded by the owner... There's camera cuts, how do we know he already hadn't been by the end? He went from pulling them to submitting and accepting defeat.
@@gannon1074 Well if his only motivation was avoiding punishment from his owner, then that's still a darn good dog, to intuit that his owner would be angry, and suppressing his instincts accordingly. But I don't think he had the slightest instinct to hurt them. I think he recognized them as helpless and sleeping, not evil little things that took his bed to spite him. Note how he keeps vocalizing and looking at the owner (camera). He is basically saying, "Come on, get them out. Now. Please."
Animal behavior is what I'm trained in, and I've seen a thousand videos of people being ignorant with animals, not recognizing that the animal is suffering, or that they are risking harm from the animal. Just the other day I saw one where a little girl was being filmed by her parents, sleeping with a baby raccoon they found in the woods. Adorable, but it could have rabies (raccoons are the #1 rabies vector) and not showing symptoms yet. It could infect a human with an accidental scratch, and by the time the girl showed symptoms, it would be too late to save her with any modern medicine whatsoever -she WOULD absolutely die in a matter of weeks or months.
This dog though. He is extraordinary, and his owner knows it, knows his limits.
any Siberian Husky: am I a joke to you?!
"Didn't hurt them" is supposed to be some kind of brag on dogs....and people who don't like dogs are the weird ones, okay...if the dog not hurting the kittens is so amazing, then the animal shouldn't be around small fragile animals
I was seeing this in a more wholesome/perhaps hopeful naive perspective, in that Bailey was first trying to move the bed of kittens in a safe/secure area, failing to do so tried to create a cave structure of the bed to provide shelter (but kept failing due to soft floppy material), and finally scent spreading on the bed to discourage potential predators and now standing/laying watch over the kittens.

Babies already know Bailey is all bark no bite. They’re gonna walk all over him. Good boy. ❤
I think all golden retrievers are all bark and no bite unless they aren't raised right and/or are abused. I would have to keep my dog on the line in the front yard because if she saw people walk by she would run at them barking acting all tough. I know they weren't in any danger because as soon as she reaches them she'll immediately go from acting tough to asking for scritches. But I also knew that they didn't know that and it can be scary seeing a big dog running towards you and I didn't know if they might hurt her in "self defense" so I was always concerned for my dogs safety whenever she did that.

They are terrified. Instinct keeps them silent and still, a better strategy for baby animals faced with a predator than running away. @@ldalexandrite obviously the kittens were not in danger. It's not true for every dog, cat, or even human, but mammals generally understand what babies are, especially adult ones, and have instincts that make us act carefully.
I like how each of the kittens have distinct markings!
Despite being upset he is still very gentle and careful not to hurt them. ❤
I see how these cute kittens are totally chilled and careless while the big adorable guy is stressed and angry !! 😅
Ears up, eyes open and sitting very still is how kittens look when scared or stressed.

Bailey sharing his bed with the four kittens... always so affectionate, even if at first he wasn't very happy with the "invasion"... so cute!!!
How would you feel, if you open your home after coming back from outside and see four orphan have taken over your house, who had been placed there by government ?
@@HamabaJuJu I would let them sleep in my bed because it wasn't their fault they were orphaned
@@simrancecil8380 Nor was it Mariangela's fault.
@@HamabaJuJu yup ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Poor Bailey really wanted his bed. He a great affectionate dog and willing to share
The Golden Retriever is a wonderful dog, gentle, loyal, with a sense of fun. Very well behaved 'mostly' but when not just miscellaneous. Generally locating socks and jumping in muddy puddles.
Something so adorable about a being who is able to crush you being gentle with you 🥺
The bewilderment on the faces of the kittens is too cute.

Bailey needs extra treats becoz he is so gentle with the little kittens. He defintely wants his bed back but doesn't want to hurt them. Wish I ould pet them all 😍💞
I love it, he's halfheartedly trying to nudge them out, then he decides kittens are a-ok.
Dog went through all 5 stages of grief in 2 minutes!
Bailey said, "I'm only tolerating this invasion of "my space" because they are so cute." 😸
Halfway through the video Bailey realizes he can share his bed with the kittens 🤣🤣🤣
Yeah! But he only gets half of it! Such a sweet animal!
Lol. But he makes it clear with his huffing & puffing that he’s not impressed at having to share
