John Madden had a morning segment on the radio in the mornings on the west coast here. Dad would take me and my brother to school and always listen to Madden on the radio segment. Good times. AL Michael's John Madden Bob Costas and even rich eisen are incredible story givers

Too bad he can't be bothered to take a break from the stories long enough to pay attention to the game in front of him. Unless the game involves someone named Rogers or Mahomes, the coach will have already thrown the challenge flag before he realizes that there was a question about whether or not it was a reception, for example. Or they'll have marched off the yardage before he realized there was a flag on the ground.

When I was in the eighth grade I interviewed Al at Candlestick Park. It was a school project, we had a back pack video camera set up. Al was 31:39 gracious and encouraging to this young sports reporter. My broadcasting career went on to be derailed by some bad choices on my part, but I will be forever grateful to Mr Michaels. He laid out a roadmap for me to get into broadcasting.

You can see my name ☘️☘️☘️ that moment of the earthquake I was incarcerated in Jamestown fire camp in Calaveras/Sonora county, I just hand washed with bleach 5 tee shirts, I hung them on the cable line connecting the television, all of a sudden, I see my tee shirts swaying, I was confused, then I heard announcers yelling and I felt the quake...I have bad quake luck, 1987, Oct.1st or 2nd, I'm on top floor of HOJJ jail on Temple, downtown LA, boom, around 8am, a massive 7.0 quake hits, building swaying, noise deafening, aftershocks were numerous and powerful, I think that was Northridge, finally, the Whittier quake was around 1-1:30am, I was a bouncer at local bar, living in Venice Beach, in bed, quake hits, bureau/hutch mirror slams down on my head...I just couldn't believe my luck...okay, fast forward to August 1999, I fly from RI to Hollywood, rent hotel room on Highland, what are the odds? First night in LA, a quake hits.
