Also to clear things up this is not for an anime show its all juts her music videos since shes a faceless artist. Also this song was her debut song and she was 17 when she made it it reached 1# in japanese top 100 chart and also reached the global top 200 chart. This song is about how ado felt at 17 and a retaliation againts japanese work culture and strict ways of living :)
i would suggest: Aishite Aishite, Godish, Odo, Fleeting lullaby and mirror they all got totally different styles (again) just to remind u what optiona there are :) Aishite aishite aishite is a song thats good to listen live and studio to see the difference
The writer of this song is syudou, the only song ado wrote that she's released so far was "Shoka" (also an amazing song). That's not to say that she has no influence on the songwriting, just that she hasn't been the one writing them. She comes from the utaite scene, so she sings a lot of songs produced and written by vocaloid producers, as well as doing lots of covers.
Very often the live versions of Ado's music are better than the studio. If you find yourself listening to the live medley version of Usseewa that is available on Ado's official channel, it is for me the best version of the song.
yesss!!!! piano version beeing her most underrated piece of art i am always happy to see ppl react to this one. Also you are right and wrong ... wrong about this beeing an anime song, right about it beeing an anthem. It is the anthem of japans youth against the status quo in society
I watched all Your reactions to Ado. I'm telling You that her songs performed live are totally mindblowing! I need to tell You that in "Unravel" You used an incorrect thumbnail. This image was from Ado's cover "Aishite, Aishite, Aishite" Live at Peackock Theater in LA, so You NEED to check this out.😂 Great reaction!😃
This song represents Ado's outlook and rebellion towards the conservative Japanese culture and society. To be considered an exemplary person in Japan you need to be silent, hardworking, bowing your head to elders and superiors, and fitting into society no matter how suppressed and depressed you may feel. Happiness is not valued, what is valued is to be perfect according to what others consider is good. And Ado doesn't want this. She finds herself unable to stomach all of the expectations. The whispers of disapproval because she is different and the pointed fingers stating she should change and fit in even if this means she has to discard her individuality and become someone she isn't. To all of this, she can only cry 'Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!', 'I am a human, not a cog in a larger machine.', 'I know what is good for me and my well-being is not something for you to decide.' The lyrics also include some robotic-like phrases of these general expectations - "Pour drinks when the glasses are empty", "Remove off the skewers so it's easier for everyone to eat", etc. This is what Japanese society thinks a lower-ranked person should do. They should take the initiative to kiss the boots of their superiors, obediently swallow injustice, and voluntarily lower themselves and not stick above the crowds. Ado's songs and lyrics often point toward this and how unsatisfied and repressed she is to live in such a society.
