    I currently own a 2009 ER6n ..
    Kawasaki's 650 bikes are built as a cheap and easy to maintain commuter bike.
    Comfortable riding position for daily commuting and long distance cruising..
    Good low-mid range punch.. 0-100 in 4 seconds.
    Quick enough ..
    Can effortlessly maintain 120-140kmh .. on the highway and easily reach 180-200 if you want to .
    Reliable bulletproof engine + this same engine has been used for more than a decade .. many pomen and bengkel can service this engine.

      I totally agree, although the newer ones seem to lack a bit of top speed grunt, they make up for smooth throttle and comfort riding, you can still be aggressive for cornering if you want, it can punch out from the corner with ease.

      @@thesighbored ah , so you've ridden an ER6 before ?
      Yes , the ER6 definitely feel like it has better top end power compared to these newer generation of 650 ..
      But the newer generation is very smooth .. ..

    Thanks man for the review, helps a lot. after 30 years off bike (Kawa Z1) I try to figure out a smooth way to kick back in without finding myself in trouble. surprisingly I found this bike on my own as a good way back in and amazed what a twin can do nowadays with only 68 HPs. Unfortunately, my dealer doesn't have it in stock to test ride, what makes this review even more helpful. I watched the other video as well and couldn't believe that that thing hits the 200 Km/h, again thanks very much! Regards from Sydney

    I've been ridiing for 15+ years. Came down from a1000cc in line 4 beast because I rearly used more than the forst 3 gears ni years (didnt race it, only used for city and highway). I decided to buy a Yamaha R7 and I tested this bike a lot before buying the R7 (whent for the Yamaha only beacuse of its 180mm rear tyre).
    So in my experience, these middsized twin sprtbikes are PERFECT for the rider that wont race them regularly. You use their full potential and are so light that you can bend them to the groud on every corner. Great for new riders yes, but also fantastic for experienced riders who grew up and understood that a 1000cc bike is a ridiculus thing for everyday use. Besides, on a 1000cc in line 4 beast you will die eventualy. Those things make 250km/h like nothing on a few seconds. If a dog runs into the highway close to you going at 250+km/h then you are done for...

    • @thesighbored
      @thesighbored  4 месяца назад

      Yes, it's a different feeling when you can push a bike to it's fullest, like on these mid size machines, they aren't too weak or small in power to be enjoyed for daily commute or some harder twisty riding on the weekends. Yes also that a 1000cc is a beast and definitely there are those that can utilise that power but not a lot of those riders capable. Hence sometimes a supersport 600 is just nice, though can be a bit weak on the lower end unlike these mid size twins.

      question... i Have ninja2023 also full akropovic. Starting form 4K rpm up to 6K rpm i have alot of vibrations.. to the point that its annoying in the footpegs, handlebars and tank.. Do u have the same issue?

  • @abduliswarndy9151
    @abduliswarndy9151 9 месяцев назад +2

    It may not reaching the top speed of 200kmh, but i believe it will come to that speed with ease. Im considering this ninja 650 but i hope it had more toys/tech like quickshifter. It will add more fun factor to the bike.
    Strong point of this bike is its brand and its reliability being a kawasaki bike. And what keeping me from buying 2nd hand version is the LCD meter. It give it more upmarket look.

    • @thesighbored
      @thesighbored  9 месяцев назад +2

      Yes it does reach it's top quite fast and can maintain the full throttle without stress (on a separate clip in future somewhere in Mexico 🇲🇽).. 😂 You can install an aftermarket QS if you want to, I don't think they will put that in without raising the price tag. Yes the TFT really does give it a different look to the older gen for sure.

    • @abduliswarndy9151
      @abduliswarndy9151 9 месяцев назад +2

      @@thesighbored somewhere in MEXico🤣. Its ok if they up the price for another variant like SE. Z900 have those variants. Factory quickshifter is the best as of right now. Maybe SE can give more gula2 like adjustable absorber for better price.

    • @thesighbored
      @thesighbored  9 месяцев назад +2

      @@abduliswarndy9151 At the current price for the bike, if adding extra gula2, let's say it gets bumped to the 40 plus range, then a lot would be thinking might as well get a Z900 quite close price already. 😆

    Any suggestion to increase the seat height apart of altering the seat? The aftermarket parts such as monoshock, dog bone etc quite diificuly to find.. Im 185cm.. 😢

    • @thesighbored
      @thesighbored  8 месяцев назад +1

      Unfortunately I am not sure about aftermarket parts to rise up the height, try to look for maybe ZX10R mono it should be taller/longer to raise the rear, or you will have to have custom dog bone CNC made to raise it up.

    Since my budget is 30k ish.
    The zx25 sounds so good and the 650 is quick.
    I want my first big bike before im to old to ride(yes im old😂). Been riding kapchai my whole life. But i got my B license last year.
    Any advice which bike i should choose ? I just wanted to do some weekend ride and funride from time to time

    • @thesighbored
      @thesighbored  6 месяцев назад

      For your case, I would suggest to go the Ninja 650 than the 25R. You have more power and torque to enjoy your weekend rides, don't worry it's not overpower for first time big bike rider. You only lose out on not having that inline four sound while riding. Who knows you will get "racun" by your friends to "upgrade" by that time you can consider something like the Z900 after improving your riding skills on the 650.

    crazy how they rebadged into local brand , basically lowered the tax, but still costs the same as it used to name Kawasaki😂

    • @thesighbored
      @thesighbored  9 месяцев назад +7

      If you are referring to the prices around 2019/2020 which is roughly 3 years ago, yes quite similar but do factor in the rise of costs and etc in the past 3 years, that should probably make the current ones much higher priced than it currently is being sold for. Of course it would have been better to be cheaper than 2019 price but at least it isn't more expensive than 3 years back.
