Yeah, there was a vid from one of the G Generation games of the Griepe’s attacks on my home page this spring, and I was surprised to learn that this suit had beat the Destroy Gundam to the punch! 💥
@@TheKing-qz9wd yes, meanwhile aesculapius is a Zgok tribute, officially mentioned on the 4 koma manga part of g unit when Odin said it was crab and zgok when it first appeared
The Hydra and Griepe are definitely the standouts from this brief line of kits. Personally, though, as much as I wouldn't mind seeing the designs remade with modern sensibilities, IIRC the G-Unit manga had some Leo designs that never made it into kit form, and I'm sure there were other add-on packs sketched out for the Gemini suits, all of which would more easily and cheaply find their way to P-Bandai shelves.
Holy shit it does My curiosity extends tho to Gundam series with alternative power sources, like true GN Drives and Ahab reactors, both of which are effectively perpetual energy machines
I’m tempted to get this kit. All those color courting stickers don’t seem to bad and I can easily mask off the pieces and paint them. I can also easily modify an action base to make it be posed in the air.
you might as well buy and review the Geminass kit. they're eventually going to do an add-on for it to turn it into the L.O. Booster and you'll have to get a Geminass kit to go with it.
Back before wikis and online info I saw these in the store, I remember thinking this unit was an aquatic themed support unit, not a space type main hero unit. Pretty weird model, I like it
It's a shame this kit didn't come with the Gundam's buster rifle-style weapon, the hyper mega particle launcher. I have two of these and wound up using different large guns from Kotobukiya MSG as substitute weapons instead.
You'll eventually build the new HG Geminass mold...the LO Booster and Aesculapius main body is pretty much the same with Geminass....If bandai decided to make them.
I hope you paint these. As someone else said, it would be great to see them looking all nice. Also it would be great to see you modify them a bit for better mobility
This is really really bad. Plastic quality is terrible. Blue color is terrible. Color separation is terrible. Did you say the hands WERE polycap? This looks like a cheap knockoff. I'm surprised this is bandai at all. Gotta really appreciate the new HG when you look at the old ones.
That MA mode is a tribute to Big Zam, complete with the big cannon. This is the highest output Gundam type MS in the wing universe
Definitely has a bit of a Zam look. Not an immeadiate one though.

Dozle Zabi would probably give the Griepe's MA mode a double thumbs up, lol.
One of my first kits and started my journey into building Gundam kits.
Technically the Aesculapius and L.O Booster are custom Geminass 01 and 02 anyway.
Griepe and Hydra are by far the most interesting of the lineup. Glad you reviewed these two last.
The Gundam Wing kit with an actual beam effect part!
Fun fact the griepe gundam has the strongest generator in gundam easily beating the wing zero generator and only losing to the turn a gundam
Holy shit it does
My curiosity extends tho to Gundam series with alternative power sources, like true GN Drives and Ahab reactors, both of which are effectively perpetual energy machines
wikia says it is 18.9MW
no way it is the highest power.
psycho gundam is at 33.6MW
@@lammatt kinda not fair since the psycho gundam is a mobile armor
matt lam psyco gundam’s a MA, as is the Queen Mansa due to obscene size
This was either my first or second kit ever back in 1998. Super cool to see it again - I had to buy one.
So glad you did these videos, as I just ordered all 5 of the G-units plus hyperion and dreadnought. Can't wait to build these side story kits!

Low priced kits, true. But the scarcity from the long production hiatus definitely had an impact on the cost on the secondary market.
theyre back to low prices now. better get them while you can
@@kidrobot. at this point, they’re likely to get new HG’s
Thanks for reviewing these old boys. I’ll definitely look into snagging one to work on.
That truegunpla apron though 🔥🔥🔥
Haven't actually read g unit but the griepe and the L.O booster are definitely my favorites.Planning on picking both up.
The head is remeniscent of the Sinanju Stein in profile. Could be a cool kitbash.

Zack: Gold, Gold, Gold, Gold, Gold Stickers Right There.
GoldMember: I Love Gooooollllldddd, The Taste of it the Smell of it. 😍
easily my favorite g-unit from the manga series, and this would look better with a darker shade of blue IMO
I wish bandai makes updated highgrades of this, since they already started with the geminass.
the griepe is definitely my favorite g unit design
10:11 It almost looked like a red eyed Leo in wider head when in armor mode.
This was among of my earliest Gunpla

Coincidentally, the five kits you reviewed (according to the Gundam Wiki) are the fastest Gundams from the G-Unit story. Griepe being the fastest
hoping if they revisit this they give the transform a revision

Wish you'd do a painted build on these. I really want to see them looking all good.
Keep doing this old kits, it would be great to see you paint these
I would love to do a kitbash with these old G-Unit kits but don't know when I'll have time
@@ZakuAurelius Even better idea. Totally understand the lack of time for that. Still a pleasure seeing these old kits again. Thank you
This is my favorite among the four.. I want to have that... Thanks for the review
really want to see the purple one recolor, i think it look kinda cool like mix of moon gundam and GPO2
any chance of you taking a look at the G-Armor during G season?
I really thought you were going to close this series with the new HG Geminass...haha
I´d love to see the three OZ-Prize Leo Customs from this series.
You'll eventually build the new HG Geminass mold...the LO Booster and Aesculapius main body is pretty much the same with Geminass....If bandai decided to make them.
Fingers crossed
Do USA Gundam Store ship kits to Philippines?
They can, but i don't see the point man. It's too far
These have been cool to look at.
Hi Zack, this may be a bit off, just wanted to ask if you're going to have a review for Metal Robot Spirits Barbatos Lupus Rex?
A shame they didn't fix the mint green parts for the kit for the rerelease. Otherwise one of my favorites.
I'd really like to see you paint this
I really want a revive of this
I hope they do remakes for all of these kits like the Geminass.
That Gerwalk mode 🤣
Lol didn’t think of that!
why dont the thruster pods on the legs have intake stickers
Let's call the MA, Little Zam.
bandai should really revive these kits, wouldnt even be mad if they p-bandai
I hope there’s a chance with the new Geminass. Granted the Geminass is the most known out of the five
with the release of gundam Geminass, this is not too far from reality. hoping this happens really soon, G-units are amazing
This gundam is ready to fight criminals in Gotham city.
I really love the Hydra.
#hailhydra
Ahh Grape gundam
Exactly what I call it
Sometimes, I call that Grifo, Spanish for "faucet" lol
Again how many catch takes did you have to do?
probably a lot HAHA
If they were gonna reproduce them, why not just recreate them all using HGUC tech?
Because it's not HGAC.
still better than put a shield on mah face, now im a plane type transformation
I hope you paint these. As someone else said, it would be great to see them looking all nice. Also it would be great to see you modify them a bit for better mobility
Trash to treasure?
way too many stickers

Sign of the times~ be thankful for how easy we have it these days!
