    Howdy Mark.
Thanks for sharing you trail cam recordings with those of us who appreciate Nature, in all its simplistic and complex interactions.
I am especially grateful to be able to watch wildlife on RUclips, since I am no longer able to do it in person.
I wonder if there are others who would be interested in learning how to purchase, install, service, use, and produce videos from trail cams.
Happy and Safe Trails to you and all you viewers.

I have a trail cam set up 10 yards from my fence. West of me is 400 acres of woods. east of me is a typical neighborhood. It blows me away at the different kinds of animal that come by my house. And the number of deer. Next trail cam will have audio. I have many Video on my channel that were taken 40 yards from my front door.

Having predators does balance the ecosystem. Predators keeping the deer moving along so they dont over browse is a bit of a stretch. Any place prey animals are present, predator animals will be present. Deer seasonally relocate to areas where they can browse on early successional forest. A winter deer yard will show signs of over browsing anywhere because its what they do. They browse.

    • @wisdomlounge4452

That's exactly what I've been saying! If Bigfoot aka Sasquatch was real we would be talking about a creature that in spite of it's enormous size has successfully evaded the tens of thousands of motion activated trail cameras within it's habitat. And it's gotta be much smarter than all other animals and Humans too, for keeping a flawless perfect record of zero road kills! I call BS on Bigfoot. Obviously, there are no giant Chewbacca-like animals living in the woods.

Regarding moose, you should be careful along roads/highways in the spring also because 1. they like salt and they will stand there to lick it from the salt trucks that came by in the winter and 2. flies - horse flies as we call them are sizable and hurt when they bite. A swarm of them can cause moose to run everywhere including onto roads to get away from them. The color of moose blends in with the dark and the legs end at the height of a typical sedan's roof so it is easy to miss them until you are on them.

The reason most animals don't talk out loud is they are thinking in pictures all the time. If they start to make outer noises it is because it is a warning to humans. If you go out of body astral projection the wolves will talk to you. Yes you are just a soul without a body they feel no threat. But they talk a lot about the latest fight who is in charge and what they like to eat etc. I found this out by accident. I was following a lost boy scout out of body from another state and the wolf got close to the boy and walked on the night before I got there so I turned back time (something your soul can do when not attached to a body) and I asked this older wolf why he didn't eat the boy. He said the boy smells funny. I think it was soap and pesticides. And he said he liked deer instead and he kept talking about wars and fights and he used to be head dog and then he lost a fight to a younger male and this young male is crazy according to him. He actually told me he wouldn't eat the boy but..... the pack was coming there tonight and he can promise he as no authority anymore as an outer guard dog he can't stop them from eating the boy. I though HOLY SHIT got to get rescue workers here TODAY. Yes the boy was rescued that day about 2 hours later. But it was interesting. Some animals not just dogs will talk to humans when they don't feel threatened when you listen and when you respect them. They do it in pictures and sort of thoughts memories they just give you. Interesting the world of animals is so interesting. I track terrorists around the world without leaving my home. I just think that animals are interesting they are a lot smarter then a lot of crazy people on this planet.

Was the wolf's name Charles ? I outer bodied last week and met a wolf named Charles with the identical story. You'll be happy to know that he ended up beating the crap out of Darrell ( the younger wolf that originally defeated him) now Charles is momentarily back in charge of the "WildNightWolfs" (name of their wolf chapter) . He says he and Darrell have actually squashed the beef and have become pretty close friends. Partially because they both have it out for this strapping stud wolf named Marcus ( he said he mentioned him to you). But I guess Marcus recently got into a tin of weigh protein someone didn't dispose of properly and now Marcus is jacked and just biding his time til he confronts Charles for leadership of "WNWs". Marcus has been sneaking off and fornicating with a gorgeous female from a neighboring clan, so Charles and Darrell are planning a "accident" to occur when Marcus is sauntering back.. Young guy, just got laid, Charles said he won't see it coming, quick and clean, he wouldn't say much more as to keep me safe in case I'm asked questions some point in the future, less I know the better he said. But that's Charles you know, always looking out for OB'DH (outer bodied humans) any chance he gets..Anyways I've got an outerbody sorta date with this doe up in Canada. Were just taking it slow, I'm actually scared to let it progress, I was given a heads up by this Buck name Richard that she's quite the lover. I don't know what would happen and I think I'm too scared to find out what happens when I have an out of body experience when I'm already out of body..you know what I'm sayin😜, some "RedShoe Diary/X-Files" type shit. But before I go, Charles said they were planning on being in the northern most woods of Wisconsin around thanksgiving time, I guess all "WNW" chapters migrate there around this time to where it all started and where their head Chapter with the President and VP reside. He said he would really love to see you again. He said security will be tight and not many out of body humans are allowed ( no inbody humans would ever be) but he said to meet him at the northeastern most corner of the woods, where the creek rushes at its fastest, past an old oak tree that looks like a spider web in the nights sky. Guess you can't miss it. Happy and safe future outerbodying

Never having used a trail cam ruclips.net/user/postUgkx2sTDdZXomuxedMg_HothfjSXjR3rpPkA before, I was very impressed with the quality of the images and videos. The sensitivity of the camera can be adjusted as well as the length of video recordings. Once I found the sweet spot, I was getting great clips of deer and other animals almost every day. I was worried about battery life but have been running off the same 4 aa batteries for over a month. The SD card is easy to remove and connect to a computer. I have a Mac, and the AVI files open natively in QuickTime and are easy to save and share. This is a great, budget-friendly trail cam.

Gears or cogs in trail cams ? What for ?
Range, focus, zoom etc can be achieved by pure silent electronic means if needed. The principal operates on the exact same way a speaker does. This is the exact method used for focus on a laser in a cd or DVD player and it's very efficient.
Way more efficient than the manipulation of mechanical devices. I could probably see use for a stepper motor system at times but even that uses more power than a magnetic coil with an induced voltage that's determines position over the magnet by varying the induced voltage.
Certainly not the way I would design a camera used for long term use spanning months.
One thing these cameras do give off is the smell of the manufacturing process, another is infrared, and another thing us silly humans tend to forget about are the multitudes of internal oscillators.
Just because people think something has a silent operation, doesn't mean animals can't hear devices screaming within their true range of hearing.
Eg? If people have ever turned on an old analog cathode ray tube TV and set the volume low, many people can hear the oscillator that drives the 110 volt line, the audio section, plus the HT lead that injects around 22,000 volts (for just small TVs) into the tube.
That high frequency whistle just on a PAL TV is 15.625 KHz.
I have no doubt that many animals can hear the oscillators in trail cams, including Bigfoot.
Which seems to be able to see infrared. Us humans aren't that smart when compared to animal instincts.

Great video! I just bought two Moultrie A-5's, my first trail cameras. Because my dog was murdered last week by a spot lighting hunter, I need to see what's going on out there. The best dog I've ever had, indeed my best friend, the sheriff and Iowa DNR are on the case. We definitely know who shot my buddy and recovered a bullet. The law can never do what I want to do to that sociopath SOB. With trail cams and loaded guns by the door I hope I'm ready for him. I apologize for dropping this on you folks but I'm one hurting unit right now and getting angrier every day. I'm not nor ever was a hunter but let those who ask hunt my land.

I'm not a naturalist who goes out in the woods anymore, but I'm surprised how many calls I can identify, compared to younger generations as there is less exposure nowadays. What I'm curious about, as I've been trying to make a collection of the same, is how did you identify the howl of a coywolf and differentiate it from a wolf? Was it just because of the timing and proximity of this video at the time?

The title does need to be changed. Footage shows nothing out the ordinary which I am sure everybody hitting the play button expected to see.
