I don't think you will be the best target demographic for this jig, as you use the current models just fine. But i talk to a lot of American gentlemen and they like my jigs but they are not comfortable using such small hooks. Its for that type of customer. I personally would never fish these for bluegill, or bluegill crappie mix. They would be for when i target black bass on TN river, like today. And I just tore them off with the new hook today on TN river!
@@ifishcatfish you are correct. I could see using these for smallies in the rivers around here on either the 2" Keitechs or crappie magnets. I'll definitely grab a few packs and give them a whirl 👍
That new jig head looks slick. Your gear is taking over my tackle box. I’ve had a chance to use that fixed float. It’s done great for me! Caught a bunch of blue gill and a few bass out at the lake. Took it to the river and threw on a couple different nikko bugs. The float bounced the ecolite jigs across the bottom just right. The trout ate em up! I ordered a couple of the bundles. Can’t wait to try those slip floats.
@@ifishcatfish I’m in southern Colorado these days. I mostly fish the Arkansas, a couple reservoirs and creeks. My son and I have a family reunion coming up in the ozarks. I can’t wait to go fishing with my cousins down there. Some of the most beautiful rivers I’ve ever seen- crystal clear water, springs bubbling, bluffs, caves, canoes and family. Can’t beat that. Love your channel, brother. I’ll definitely grab some of those new 1.5s when they drop!
I have hundreds of various small jig heads from various Japanese companies and I have found that I prefer your BG-1 jig heads over all of them. They just work with the different types of small plastics that I iike to use. I have all the different sizes that you offer in black. Now I want the non-painted ones you have. Be looking for my order😊
Definitely interested in the #8 hook, BG series has become my go to jighead for all panfish. Still liking the gloves as well, will send some pics for the Community page.

Really looking forward to trying your #8 hook jigheads when they release. Have loved the look of your jigheads since they came out but the main lake I fish has very large crappie and gills with tons of 3lb+ bass bycatch so #10/12 isn't ideal. My go to is .9gr/#6 but I think #8 will work well too. I would love to buy a few prerelease packs!
@ifishcatfish ordered them as a little birthday present for myself! 😄 I'm looking forward to them! Also ordered the new Mint floats. 👍 Thank you, Victor!
@@ifishcatfish I’ve converted over to panfishing since following you lol Bass seem to not bite often this year compared to the last. Haven’t caught a single one on my Medium tackle. But I’ve caught plenty with my UL tackle and BG-1’s. However there are bass and I want to see if maybe they want something just a little bigger than 1” lol
Put the prototypes in the store. I will buy a couple packs.😊 Also upgraded my TFO 6’ and bought a new 6’ 6” two piece after watching your iCast review. I got tired of waiting for the Belleza’s in stock. Going to fish the 6’6”x2 in Orlando while visiting family. Thanks for the excellent vids!
woot - I cant wait for the size #8 hook. Would be perfect to me if you offer some options for wide gaps so I can dress them with some ‘fat’ swim bait 😂
I just purchased some of your 1.5g jig heads. This video insinuates that you are changing the design. The ones I just purchased have the small 'lip' at the rear of the head. Is there anew one coming out?
The video said that every model is different. If u go to the shop, u can open the 3D images of the molds and compare the existing molds. The 1.5#8 will get a new mold because the hook is bigger and will not look like a good fit. The 1.5#8 will look more like the 1.25g, only bigger. Then there will be a 2.0#8, and that one will have again the lip you are talking about.
Just out of curiosity, have you tried the Z-Man 3 inch Minnow Z? I think that might be the ticket for that 1.5g with a number 8 hook. Perfect Crappie combo... Also the Z-Man 3" Goat. - Get some extras of the prototype. I'm good to try at least one pack of black and silver, more likely 2 packs of each if available.
Off topic: Have you considered trying the Mule Fishing plastics? Very stretchy and strong plastic material in all different sizes. They won't tear as easily as most other 'regular' plastics such as Keitech (which is why I stopped using them). Plus they are very affordable. Are you planning on offering your own line of plastics baits in the future?
i've seen them, they work, but i don't have a favorite design. Can u really compare the Keitech with his swimbait? It looks like a worm, but has a sharp and big 90 degree tail. I know it works but aesthetically me no like. Keitech me perfect
Heya Viktor! Head looks sick, I'm not sure if I missed it in the video but do you trim just slightly at the head of the keitech? It looks like it, the fit seems perfect. Also, with Keitech baits being so rare in sweden (especially UL sizes like 2 inch) and rather expensive, the problem is how long they last. Do you have any tips on how to make them last longer? I'm assuming you'd hate the idea of using superglue? ;) Thanks in advance!
Yep go ahead and order some....take my money😂 on a side note, ive watched the line video's you have and had a question. What are your thoughts on the varivas svg line? I have a spool in 2.5lb and im contemplating putting it on a setup. Great video again!!
good line but actual strength is less than what label says. If u look at label it seems that its the strongest line, but if u test it, its about average. Still good, but nothing special.
I'm surprise you didn't make the 1g too? I like 1g too, but i like the hook to be just a bit longer; #8 size hook would be perfect in my opinion. Although 1.5g is fine too, but it would be great if it's light weight
@@leepao6302 I completely forgot about something! The 1.5G mold can be used to make ECOLITE jigs which are made without lead. The same mold would produce 0.9 gram ECOLITE jigs. What do u think about 0.9g#8 ?
I was starting to have ultralight video withdrawals! Thanks for scratching that itch. Can't wait to try your new BG-1 offering!
