WCF 7.1. "The distance between God and the creature is so great, that although reasonable creatures do owe obedience unto him as their Creator, yet they could never have any fruition of him as their blessedness and reward, but by some voluntary condescension on God's part, which he hath been pleased to express by way of covenant." The triune Creator offers himself to Adam as his "blessedness and reward" for perfect, personal exact, and entire obedience as the federal head of the human race. This is the covenantal backdrop for Paul saying in Romans 8:17 that in union with Christ believers are "heirs of God" even as they are "joint-heirs with Christ." This is foundational to classically Reformed covenant theology.
Mankind are not creatures. We are patterned and formed in the likeness of the Creator. God is literally the Father of our spirit. He is not a separate species apart from us. When we believe He is a different species….we are worshipping after a creature….not the true Creator.
There is only one Godhead-which priesthood office is unified with the same purpose, work, and glory. The purpose of that work and glory is to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of mankind.
Polytheistic gods (pagan gods) fight against each other for supremacy. These gods (or supposed gods for there are many) are not unified into one-they not having the same purpose, work, and glory-and are by definition false gods (evil spirits). Their purpose, work, and glory is to damn mankind.
Distinction and relation, creation and covenant, pre-fall and post-fall… three answers in one! Love it!

Great stuff.

Thank you brother.
How does God create anything without any communication of divine attributes or power?
Nice format! Was that the Shakina Glory behind Lane? ;}

Spot on!

He is a full bag of begging the question.
What twaddle. A Triune God? Polytheism. There is only One God. There is a a distinction, yes, but panentheists understand it best IMHO.
The coining and concept of the Trinity theory is a man-made misunderstanding of the Godhead Doctrine found in Holy Writ.
