If you look the history of dunun drums in Guinea, more often oil barrels were used.It's just been in recent years that we have the matching solid shell premium hand carved indigenous hardwood dunun sets.The new drums look and sound great ,but may not be good for the West African forest conservation.

The Djembes are too small a diameter, and not high quality enough, to carry that size venue, and I've been in that building many times.
