I grew up on Edutainment, and I'll often go back and replay some of the old Edutainment games I loved even though I'm a grown-ass man that's all but memorized them. Besides Humongous games, I loved the Munchers, Oregon Trail 2, Troggle Trouble Math, Castle of Dr. Brain, Operation: Neptune, Gizmos and Gadgets, Magic School Bus Explores the Human Body, etc. But of all of them, I think my favorite is Musem Madness. That game was fantastic, even though it took me years to learn how to solve every puzzle. Every time I would return to it as a young child I would get just a little bit further.
Dunno if anyone gives a shit but if you guys are bored like me during the covid times then you can watch pretty much all of the new movies and series on Instaflixxer. Have been streaming with my gf for the last couple of weeks xD
I think the edutainment title I played the most as a kid was Where's Waldo At The Circus and I also remember playing like a Flipper game a lot. I don't really have any nostalgia for Humongous Entertainment as the first one I played was just a few years ago, but every game I've played I have genuinely loved, with Freddi Fish being some of my favorites just due to my fondness for underwater environments. This was an awesome video, dude, and I can't wait to see what other HE games you cover i the future.
Oh man, that took me back. Only Freddie Fish game I ever played, I think, but me and my younger sister played the *hell* out of this (and 'Putt-Putt Joins the Parade') back in the nineties. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
This is one of those games that I vaugley remember playing, couldn't think of the name, and figured it was a just a fever dream of a game I remembered lol
I think the randomization is based from game to game; I know in the Pajama Sam games (and Sly Fox) once you beat the game one way, playing it again would cause the puzzles to be slightly different.
Love the Humongous games, but I mostly played Spy Fox. I totally jumped on getting the entire collection when they were being released on Steam a few years back and they're still enjoyable now. Also, I'm pretty sure Freddi Fish is a girl.
Aye, with some guy with a guitar who calls her a he, to which Freddi says "I'm actually a girl", and the dude replies with "What a coincidence! So is my wife!" loved that joke, still do :P
Do you have a favorite edutainment game? Which one?

The edutainment game I remember most fondly was a Learning Company game called Treasure Mountain. Loved that game!

Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
With the common use of the Katawa Shoujo OST can we expect a review for it in the future?
That's all me, unfortunately. I don't think Mathas has played it.
Loved the Jump Start games growing up. Especially 3rd grade with the robot theme. Although 4th grade on the haunted island was way too scary for me.
LOL I remember the purple sea urchins
I thought this game was kinda oddly familiar. Until I saw the pulling the lady out of the hole, and suddenly the memories flood back.
Loved this game as a kid, good video Mathas!
This is one of those games that I vaugley remember playing, couldn't think of the name, and figured it was a just a fever dream of a game I remembered lol
My "edutainment" game was an old DOS game called Yukon Trail.... God I miss it!

Put Put golf was a jam back in the day , + Mario teaches typing
I remember playing Math Blaster quite often as a kid. Essentially it's an astronaut in space, and with the aid of math you get to blow up comets.
OMG! I played this! I totally forgot! Wow nostalgia much
6:10 I thought that was a grenade

Damn the lack of sub growth over the last year must be so demoralizing
ProJared take notes. You cameoed in this video
I just realized Freddi sounds exactly like Penelope from the Sly Cooper series.
