Just stumbled on this.. Very impressed with how much information is imparted in these 12 minutes, but in a way that remains accessible. The "Division of Consciousness" might just be the best way I've heard to describe what being onstage is like to non-actors. ;)
Thank you so much, Ian. Much of what I say here is from the teachings of Michael Chekhov, particularly in the preface to To The Actor. I can't recommend it highly enough.
WOW! I came across this video very randomly, but now I am so happy that I did. So helpful for everyone who wants to learn and get better in acting, or just someone who is curious about it. Love how its complexity is explained psychologically and interestingly yet very easily and understandably for absolutely everyone :)
@@TheInspiredActor Greek drama i.e all about Dionysus , thesis, and everything in detail....thank you for not taking my comment casually....your channel is very beneficial and the way you explain is just awesome

My pleasure! Glad it was helpful!
Can you please make a video on Greek theatre
Hi Ritwik. When you say Greek theatre, do you mean acting in Greek Drama/Comedy or just a general intro to Greek Theatre?
