Gandhi wants to follow the varna system he is a casteist .He cant bear the depressed classes getting the main political power, thats why he opposed vehemently the communal award. Its not the Britishers who want to divide and rule ,its Gandhi .He never fasted for Independence but fasted untill death against giving political powers for the Daliths .Read the book Kanshi Rams The Chamcha Age you will understand the consequence of Joint electorates and how it hinders the development of the country which was predicted by Dr Ambedker long back.

Well I guess depressed classes is different from hindus becoz hindus exploited depressed classes for so long and Gandhi and other leaders wasn't able to see them come forward and participate in politics as it will break the system to higher and lower section... Actual division is done by hindus. Still baba saheb did a great favour to Gandhi and did an act of humanity by signing that pact and save Gandhi.

You have created a channel to teach history and not your opinions on history. This video presents more of your opinions than the real Indian history. If you are here to teach about Communal award, teach the provisions and other features. Don't interpret it the way you want and tell everyone respected Gandhi and that even depressed classes were ready to give up the demand for separate electorates. In fact ,Dr Babasaheb was forced to sign Poona Pact because Depressed classes were tortured by upper caste hindus on the matter of Gandhi's life. So don't tell that Britishers created division. The Hindus themselves created and only separate electorates were the only way out of the years of oppression.

Upper castes had reservation and privileges since from thousands of years.
Various jobs were specially reserved for upper caste people. Jobs related to Military, advisor to King, kayastha, Diwans ,Purohit , Working staff in the office, teachers , revenue collectors etc..
If a new village or hamlet got situated then the entire land of that village got distributed to the upper castes not to the dalits.. hence reservation for dalits is a compensation given to them ...

Hindus' religion was giving the right to live to Dalits. Dalits were not allowed to use the water from rivers and wells. They were not allowed to enter the temples than how are they called Hindus. Britishers broke the unity of Hindu society through Gandhi. HARSHIT DWIVEDI DO STUDY THE ATROCITIES CONDUCTED BY BRAHMINS ON SHUDRAS. DALITS WERE ALLOWED TO STUDY IN SCHOOLS. THEY COULDN'T GET EDUCATED,
WORDS SHOULD BE TURNED AGAINST YOUR WORKS. GANDHI WAS A BLACK MAILER FOR YOUR KIND INFORMATION. WHY DID GANDHI WENT FOR SECOND ROUND TABLE CONFERENCE WHEN HE WAS NOT INVITED.

What that is lie, why am I not surprised that ur depicting Gandhi caring about others right. The Poona Pact of 1932 was a result of coercion of Ambedkar by Gandhi via a fast unto death, to prevent the Dalits from getting separate electorates or a double-vote for the Dalit community, which they had previously been awarded. You see, the Dalits tend to be concentrated on the outskirts of town, so they could virtually never have a majority to represent themselves in any district or area. The idea was to basically give them somewhat of a level playing field. Gandhi said that he would fast unto death to prevent them from getting their just due.
