I live Bruno's voice, he makes you really feel it. I love seeing your arms go up and your reaction, I did the same thing the first time I heard it. I guess that's why its played in more than a dozen countries for over 20 years. To me, Bruno Pelletier was the best Gringoire ever♡ I think it's still playing in Paris with new faces.
Yes! Great seeing other people discover and listen to Bruno Pelletier. Him and this play have been responsible for me learning French! You should listen to Bruno Pelletier - Lune. It's from that same play, shows off his voice very nicely. If you wanna get crazy, his version of the song Miserere, is fantastic! Would love to see more reactions from you listening to Bruno Pelletier.
His song Lune (Moon) Makes you feel the same way! This Musical played for many years. I wish I could of seen it, I don't speak French or French Canadian, but this makes my heart dance.
Good video. I love your enthusiasm in every video you have posted so far... ;) Just some little precisions about the trivia... Notre-Dame de Paris (the hunchback of Notre-Dame) is originally a novel by Victor Hugo. In the book, yes, Esmeralda was a baby girl called Agnès born in a village of France from a teenager or at least pretty young mom. She’s been kidnapped by a band of Gypsies passing by because of her beauty and she was described as a very fair skinned girl in the book. She was replaced by another 2-3 years old child in her crib who was horribly distorted... a child who should be known later as Quasimodo. Agnès disparition was a terrible shock for her mother who decided some years later to come in Paris to pray in a little nun cell around ND cathedral forecourt for the return of her dear baby girl for years... ironically, this woman was one of Esmeralda (called this way by her adoptive family) worst nemesis. She would reproach the now young woman to disturb her prayers with her music and dances. The now old woman couldn’t know the younger woman was in fact her own beloved daughter. If I remember well, when she was finally able to recognize her daughter it was too late. Esmeralda was already under a warrant by because of Frollo and Phoebus, and she would be sentenced to hanging... If you like this musical, I can suggest you to react to Garou (who play Quasimodo) in the part called "Les Cloches" (the bells) which is one of my favorite songs in this musical. If you want some more and a most recent performance by Bruno, I would recommend the video "Belle et Burn - Bruno Pelletier - la chanson des vieux amants" - a Jacques Brel’s song cover. His voice range is very lower in it but it’s a good opportunity to appreciate a different side of the talent.
The Disney movie does not represent Victor Hugo's great novel. This beautifully done musical is true to the story even though it leaves out some detail.

Please react to 'Belle' from the same show, even though Bruno isn't singing in it.

It said she was kidnapped by gypsies as a child. Lol
Esmeralda isn’t a gypsy? I need to check the book.
Esmeralda was not born a gypsy. She was kidnapped by them. But, do check the book, it's wonderful.
