I haven't really heard the feet-washing as a superstition. Of course my mom would always tell me to wash my feet but not because it's a superstition but because she doesn't want the bed being dirty

I remember my mom telling me not to whistle at night. My friend just told me about the lemon this year. I hope everything is well where you live. I see there was a bad fire over there.

thanks for sharing your experience! Yeah, the Maui fire is devastating, we are on a different island so we are safe, but we feel really bad for those affected :(
