Truly awful. Why does she play Wallace so many minutes? Her production is shit. Wtf happened to Smith? She's a -24 in like 15 minutes of play. Hull got 5 minutes and she was more useful in that 5 minutes than Wallace was in 28 minutes. This coach needs to stop plying her best friend so much, it's hurting the team.
Perhaps she can try something different since it hasn’t been working when she takes Clark out after a run.

Great job tonight CC on getting first 30 point game. The Fever are a work in progress. It takes time. There's a reason they've gotten the #1 pick 2 years in a row. Even with one of the greatest players picked in Boston they wound up getting the 1st pick again. It will take time for the team to gel.

Fagbenle and Boston were the best of a bad bunch
I actually LOVE Fagbenle! Her and Clark are really on the same page. She needed more touches tonight though. But her and Clark work super well together. I also like Smith. She’s got a nice midrange game a shots near and under the bucket. Boston is starting to warm up to Clark. They’re all starting to understand Clark can and will get you the rock if you’re rolling to the cup or get to your spot. Mitchell is great at pressing the action to the rim. Her 3 ball seems reasonably reliable. But she gets a little tunnel visioned in her game, like she feels threatened by Clark’s game…that it’ll take away her shine. If she wises up a little she’ll see Clark wants to get her her looks, as she did tonight cutting to the rim then kicking out to Mitchell for the wide open 3. If Mitchell can grape this concept, her ability to press the action at times is great, because she puts the other teams on their heels. But she can take you out of a game with the same action at times. So she needs to recognize. But I’m liking her game. Then a couple of the other gals are playing nice in spots. I see real potential. But Clark is the engine and the engineer. Coach has got to recognize as does the rest of the team. If they do, I think they’ve got enough talent to do some damage. But the ball has got to be in Clarks hands. She’s braking passes nobody else is making. She’s got great court vision and awareness. She’s showing she can get to the cup, and that opens up a lot of stuff. You can’t foul her, she makes you pay. When you double her she finds the cutter. She’s just dangerous at all times when she has the ball. The only person who stops her…is the coach…she can run all night. This game was there to be won. But the coach made it about her…and by the time she’d relented…the game had gotten away from them. I don’t want to rag on her…but at the moment she’s pulling all the wrong strings at the wrong time. imho 😊

You're seeing a generational change going on in the WNBA. Clark and other younger players are coming in playing a faster style that has been developed in women's college hoops. The rest of the WNBA is playing an older slower style with bigger players with their backs to the basket. I'm seeing that if the league wants to become popular they will need to start changing to how the younger talent coming into the league are trending.

I love Boston who is supposed to be their franchise player and I know the coach wants to be loyal to her, but with CC bringing so much speed to the game Boston has to lose the extra weight and only then you will see these players become the best one, two players in the league. At least this season anyway

I do strongly believe the players from this year’s draft and the ones coming through in the next few years will change the viewership for the WNBA.

Did I claim that Caitlin is or ever will be some sort of lockdown one-on-one defender? I did not. She has her limitations. But I have watched the games. She is improving. Furthermore, she is first and foremost an offensive-minded player who played for an offensive-minded coach in college. And finally, do you understand that defensive rebounding is an important part of playing defense?

Fever Coach played great defense on Caitlin by benching her for almost 5 minutes. So hard to score from the bench. The L. A. Sparks should credit Fever Coach as one of their best helpers.
Missed the game but i saw the highlights. Caitlin is a natural scorer i watched her at Iowa and i know she can lift the WNBA although she has opposition from within the league. Why pick the greatest women’s basketball player and highest scorer of all time and then not let her play her game? The coach wants to lose and wants to tear down the greatest interest in the WNBA ever!! She has to go or trade Caitlin to a team that wants to win!!

Besides her ability to score, she has all of the skills a basketball guard should have. Her play since her first game with the Fever has expanded drastically. Promise realized.
All she needed was defense. Even she said that's where she needs work. She gets better on defense every game.

Yeah I get what you're saying about shot selection but she made so many of them and not just logo 3. She's able to shoot layups either hand. She's excellent in assists. She does have too many turnovers but I think that's an adjustment to playing with professional women where all the players will be at a higher level. It won't be college where 3 out of 5 are top level. She'll get it. Her off season training is insane. She's a hard worker because she's such a competitor. And she loves basketball.
Careful Clark. Remember, you're playing with grown women now. You can't drop 30pts on them. Just give it time. Learn the league. It's sooooocomplicated and different in the WNBA.

Sides is clearly pretty incompetent -- however CC's shot selection has always amazed me. SHE can hit the shots she takes... because she's a freak. But realistically, if you were a coach on any kind of team and a kid you didn't know that well started taking damn-near half court shots .... you'd bench the shit out of them (rightfully). There's got to be a bit of a comfort curve for a coach ..... CC at Iowa was not unlike Steph Curry .... where you're watching thinking "well, that was a god awful terrible basketball decision to shoot that ball .... buuut you made so ... keep going I guess".
