I'm an Indian and I have had several experiences dealing with corrupt officials like these, it's really common here and considered almost normal like people carry money with them to the police station for this purpose. It's really sad that this happens. Glad that the girl found her parents. TBH if she hadn't I really don't think that the hospital centre would take care of her well, she would have probably been sent to an orphanage or something. And in India child care facilities are really bad. Glad for the girl.
I'm kinda skepical of those proclaiming parents. Regardless cannot trust in the force. Just depends on person, though. Awful for those so-called gold-diggers scamers for wanting extra cash. Greedy. Greedy.
The thing with reporting cases to police also happens in a lot of developing countries.. like Indonesia. When you are having unlucky thing happen to you already, but reporting it to the official also don't really help much.
You guys should talk about the article about the man who adopted an Asian baby thinking that he was Chinese and raising him for 17 years then relishing that he's Korean
given the amount of people in India, I doubt that's actually their child. many parents claim that missing children's are theirs, just due to the emotional stress they are under. DNA test will probably prove it wrong. but if she does need a family, a disillusioned one will do just fine. I mean, she needs to be adopted anyways, right? but then again, if that isn't the children, will they just give up on the child?
thats horrible for officials to scam desperate parents like that. karma will surely come for them. Thanks for the update.

There is no use for police then.

In India and other 3rd world countries, the animals are more likely to help you than the cops will. Sad but true.
