Absolutely Jordon! Only had use of the strimmer so far but I’m very pleased at the moment! I look forward to having it hung in the van over winter, especially with that pruning saw💪🏽
I have been using mine commercially for a year now, predominantly the hedge trimmer attachment but I have the strimmer and pole saw, it's a great bit of kit!
Thanks mate! Just a basic one, I would have liked to get the products used but I suppose that’s more of a review rather than an unboxing vid! I’ll hopefully get them all on the channel soon enough 😄🔋
Looking at gearing up with this type of kit, been looking at Stihl until I found your video, so now undecided, which would you favour if you were starting out if money wasn,t a problem, and what you saw at Saltex, would you wait for the 2023 range to come out from Ego
Hi Mick, I can’t swear by Stihl as I haven’t used their battery range. But the Husqvarna battery set up was fantastic, the difference being EGO seem to be trying to constantly improve their products and they are a battery only company so everything is going into their tech. I would definitely wait for the ego new release multi tool next year I think it will be the best on the market after holding it in person 💪🏽 and I mean that as in I will 100% go buy one if I don’t get one sent out as I’m not a huge fan of the usability of the current combi from EGO
Question for you Sam, if you're in the know. Do you know if or when the UK is expected to stock the Ego Strummer with their line iQ and powerload head?
@@JayRockGroundsMaintenance thanks Sam. I'm expecting to move to the UK from Australia for summer 23 and I'm restarting my Garden service business with me.
Can I buy the full set as an actual set or do I have to purchase individually as I can't find a full set?..and I aspire to own my own business soon as I have figured that working for a company just doesn't suit me as much as if I was my own boss.
Kalum yes you can, they should be in plenty of places online as well as directly from EGO. As I mentioned though the newer stuff dropping early next year is better to use though, I think they are released March time
Thanks for the box opening Jay, have to say I own a few bits of stihl kit that I cannot fault one bit bar the fact it is expensive equipment, the only reason I went with stihl was the hope it would cost a large initial investment but would hope that I have them long enough to of paid their way and more! Saying that the ego range is very very tempting and I’ve not heard much in the way of bad reviews. Also the day battery mowers really are worth having I cannot wait for though I just wish they would hurry up! 😂
Karlito absolutely ! The EGO gear seems to be at a bit of a better price point across most of the range, also with some deals they do like “free 4amp battery when you spend x amount” I get just about a full day cutting small - medium lawns with their 12amp battery, but I know what you mean 😄. It’s definitely the way forward 🔋
@@JayRockGroundsMaintenance spot on if I were starting up again i’d be buying ego gear for sure. Great prices for what looks very good equipment that’s only going to get better.
@@karlitobergkamp8082 well that’s it ! It’s one thing I noticed this year at SALTEX, companies not pushing forward much but then the likes of EGO just seem to be wanting to constantly improve 💪🏽
Hi Jay I'm looking to invest in battery lad would you recommend that ego good price point for the lot hard to believe, is it heavy duty ? Great video 👍
Hi Jonny hope you are well mate! Yes handling the equipment it all seems spot on, I’ve only used the strimmer so far and that’s really nice to use, as I mentioned the trigger is a bit stiff but other than that it all feels great. I have no doubt all the other attachments will be fantastic also! The new version is released early 2023 which is a little more user friendly but I’m not quite sure what the price point will be. If your looking to invest asap then this is a fantastic shout, you’ll also not get as much for your money anywhere else 💪🏽
@@JayRockGroundsMaintenance I was chatting to another gardener here in Ireland he was saying he's using it as well so I'll definitely look at that for sure 👍 tell me this Jay do you send out emails to companies asking for tools or what way does it work that's unbelievable getting them for nothing lad fair play to you 👌
@@jonnysgardenmaintenance yeah it’s a great bit of kit! Yeah it’s as basic as you get in touch with them or they reach out to you usually. Either by email or get in touch with their marketing teams - I’ll be honest though, it’s pretty tough to get into I have always felt that companies get in touch when you have something to give them in return, Reach, engagement rate, impressions etc, very basic reply I suppose but I hope that kind of answers your question pal😄
@@JayRockGroundsMaintenance appreciate your honesty Jay good to know lad I watch your videos and see some a the kit u have is unreal and you can tell you take pride in your work, do you be busy all through winter Jay?
Looks like a nice bit of kit mate! I want to invest in battery gear but unsure of which way to go, I was thinking to go Stihl as I already have the kombi attachments however ego seems to be leading at the moment, plus sharing batteries with other manufacturers is a game changer, obviously I don't want to end up with different battery brands in the van, what do you recommend?
It’s a hard one mate as you really need to get hands on some of these tools and see which ones you like ! See your saving yourself a lot there just by having the attachments, although I would possibly try and get a demo of each, see what you like best!🙌🏽
@@ianmozi 100% agree Ian! Got to make most of the kits and the free battery deals while they do them! All in all I suppose once you have a decent amount that’s you sorted though 💪🏽
@@JayRockGroundsMaintenance have a 7.5 & 3 x 5amp also 2 x 2.5 for hedge trimming as they are lighter, just to get a blower & HTA200S (short) hedge trimmer and that's the tools sorted will invest in a couple more batteries next year. 😎 👍
Good stuff Sam, always nice getting new toys to play with
Absolutely Robbie ! Thank you 🙌🏽😄
Fantastic bit of kit Sam, I bought the exact same multi tool and can honestly say it has done wonders for me!

Nice video mate 👍
Thanks Jason, just a basic one this time for the unboxing but hopefully I’ll get some decent footage soon enough !😄
What are the differences between this 'older' kit compared to the new one coming out?
The new one has better triggers, lighter, sleeker design, carbon fibre shafts, there’s a good few upgrades!
Brill, just what I needed to know! Any idea why the new line iq strimmer has an aluminium shaft and not carbon like the 1620 in the USA?
