Hey Derek, love your videos mate. I went out to ipswich last weekend and ran tag restricted in practice. Down the back straight the engine would cut out at 12 grand at full throttle. Is this a jetting issue?
I pull these clips off about an inch above the ground, over a towel. sorry, spent too much time looking for little parts on the floor, this way is foolproof.

use a lambda sensor in your exhaust is the best way. other wise it is guess and check on track for improved or reduced performance
Thanks that's excactly what it needs,my TAG rotax max is dawging it in the slow turns we have a good 6 tenths of a mile track but they are running it backwards now because of run off area restrictions,so all the turns are decreasing radius corner tight on the entrance i am really getting slowed with no throttle response and I know from my motorbike riding that u can move the clip up and down,I w as also told the pilot could help if its too small,but I'll start with the clip that sound like it shoul fix or at least help improve the lack of or absence if acceleration,THANKS
Kellie Nicole Brooks Schettino I would lift the float level up 0.50mm first then start moving the clip position lower on the Needle

Cody Payne for the slow rolling start you just need to make sure you're loading up the brakes. I only really change the needle position for throttle response off slow hairpin corners.
From 4 to 5 the clip position of the needle is more richer ... i would better response out of the corner ... what do you suggest 4 or 5 from the top of needle ?

Hi Pepe. either is "better'. if you kart feels lean off a slow corner, move needle from clip 4 to clip 5. if the engine splutters and you have to push the accelerator pedal hard to get the kart moving off the slow corners, then you are too rich and clip 4-clip5 will make it worse and you should go the other way back to clip 3. which ever the case you should try both and let us all know what you found!

Total Gleam Exterior Cleaning & Pressure Washing you can fine tune your float level if your carbs not responding to your main jet changes perfectly all over the track. More float level is richer and less float level is leaner. Start at 23.5mm then change if necessary. If lean off the slow corner and engine hesitates, richer by 0.5mm. If the kart splutters of the slow corners, lean float 0.5mm. Let me know how it goes after your next test day. 👊🏿
Where do you set the max throttle position on these carbs?
send them at Wide open, full throttle. the older non evo engines could jet inconstantly so we use to sometimes reduce the throttle opening.

Take the Airbox off, open the throttle until it hits the pedal stopper. Look inside the carb, should be able to see the slide and the needle should be hanging straight.
I'll add a bit of advice here from a rookie mistake I made replacing the throttle cable - when you put the nut back in, make sure the pin is set in it's position, and isn't further up into the chamber. mine wasn't, and when I tightened the nut, it bent the pin and I needed to replace it.
