This is such a great song and I liked that you guys just listened and appreciated it. Harry has said that at 16 he was too young and lacked the knowledge of making music and the music industry to embark on a solo career. During the time with 1D, he made the most of it learning from the experts and then, taking that knowledge and running with it. He always had the raw talent, but his time with 1D gave him the confidence to develop it and gain a better understanding of showmanship. He is a very smart and savvy young man.
Omg I missed this reaction. This is my most favorite version of fine line live. He is my emotional support human and I'm not a young girl lol we also work in rock and metal and I just adore him. I was never a one direction person at all. It's just his over all vibe as a human and his voice is just crazy
His performance of fine line is very faithful to the original recording but this performance was a different vibe. He really stretched his vocals put for this show and it's known as THAT performance for this song because of it. So touching and I cried when I saw him perform this live cause its my favourite of all his songs and carries alot of emotion for me
Fine Line was the close of the main concert before the encore and was like a spiritual experience for the audience. This is probably his best performance of it live, with the octave leap in the vocals and that final anguished note. We're so lucky to live at the same time as this man.
Love your reaction to this video because really it is just all about Harry and what he brings to the table, and you both seem to appreciate that. I too am happy that they all have solo careers but for nostalgia's sake, I would like to see them reunite for a performance or two (for some special purpose; a 1D anniversary or something) just to see what they'd be like together now as adults. I mean, long before they were individual performers, we fell in love with them as 1D and those memories are firmly in our hearts.
*this* one live, was something else....gives a whole new appreciation of this song. It is different from the album. You are so correct in that as Harry has grown musically there is a broader appeal if people are willing. I've converted my husband also although he says he'd never go to a concert due to all the screaming, lol, he will listen (and sometimes sing along!).
This song is very special for the fandom and harry… When Harry didn't perform it in tour, everyone begged for it! And when he performed it, the crowd always listened to Harry with all their heart in silence and love, and the sound of quiet cries can be heard through that silence!! Overall, experiencing this song live is one of the most special moments in fandom.
Agree 100%. Harry is definitely better solo. None of the others can touch raw emotion and expression like he does. 1D was only a stepping stone for him and he used to his advantage and stepped off of it into greatness.
@@carolefletcher They each have good music. Harry is simply a more natural stage performer than the others. The delivery of the music is as important as the music itself. For me, anyway.

Absolutely agree. He networked whilst in the band, paving the way for his solo career.

this ^^^^
I disagree. I think Niall's solo work is equally strong.
I was too old to get into 1D, but I have loved both Harry and Niall's solo work since then.
He's a wonderful singer, but I prefer Louis' music personally, and I also like Niall's. Zayn and Liam's isn't my cup of tea.

I am 64 years old and I love Harry!!!!
