This is what suburbia robbed us of. Being able to move without a car. This is the sorta headass stuff my friends and I woulda done in school if only it was possible for us to do.
You missed the Sharon Hill/Media suburban trolley lines that also go from 69 St. If you take the Sharon Hill line to Clifton-Aldan, you can catch a Regional train back to the city. When riding the Norristown line, it's better to take the Regional to Norristown and then the High Speed line back to 69 St. The fun thing about the Market-Frankford line is that it has a "railfan" seat facing the front window. Be sure to get on at the end of the line.
I've been there. I've also been on the Subway-Surface Trolleys and the Market-Frankford Line. Unfortunately, those are the only services I've been on. When I first road the SEPTA Route 10 trolley, the driver offered to let me transfer to the Route 15 "heritage" trolley. I'm really sorry I didn't.
I can't even lie I laughed when I realized you are younger then me but then was genuinely surprised by the insane quality of this video! This is something you'd expect from like a transit RUclipsr with millions of subs!
torresdale (tores-dale or tars-dale as my granny says) station isnt the suburbs lol it's like the faar NE fringes of philly proper. used to get off there to go to the uni right near the station
I tried this once, and I didn't even get the trackless trolley, but I got the Broad Street Line also, and got the suburban trolleys instead of the city ones.
8:25 I did that transfer this past summer while trying to ride as much transit in Philly as possible, and the station was also locked! It just so worked out that we got there a few minutes before a regional train did! Were you going to by any chance take it to North Broad to transfer to the Broad Street Line?
Haha! I was planning to go to the North Broad to get the Broad Street Line. I ultimately decided not to complete that part of the journey, and grouped the BSL and MFL together here in the edit. Thanks for watching!
Wow you visited Northeast and West Philadelphia-- my current and past neighborhoods. I currently live near Cottman and Oxford. I can't wait until the MFL M4's are replaced, as well as the robust Broad Street Line cars. Although the NHSL green line cars are 30 and 42 years old, respectfully, they are great vehicles.

They look like they're 12 but sound like they're 30

I agree- glad you enjoyed the video
This popped up on my recommended page. Great video. As a big Miles in Transit fan, was great to see the Jackson cameo. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much!

I will have to check it out next time!

My bad- the vibe was suburban, not the location.
Your granny is correct haha
I tried this once, and I didn't even get the trackless trolley, but I got the Broad Street Line also, and got the suburban trolleys instead of the city ones.
Too bad you didn’t get the trolleybus!

Cool to see trolleys in use - neat!
Bro you took my route to the city 😂. Love this city's transit, and I can hope it can improve

Ya earned a new sub: this video is awesome! I love your vibe, I love the Banter, I LOVE THE MEMES:

Thanks for commenting! The NHSL trains were smooth dispite their age.
@@Thomulate The K-Car trolleys have been around longer than the PCC Streetcars they replaced, and they creek at every turn and every stop.
What in the world is the green line? To 69th S.t or away from it?
As a Philly native, i would tell you to be careful
Thanks! It wasn’t too bad…

This is a great video! Surprised to see it only has 150 views!
Thanks!
Radnor is a stealth transfer. They are so close but *just* a bit too far to mark on a map.
Totally!
This is such a neat tour.
Thanks!
The R143 is my favorite car in NYC
Patco third rail is mostly under the platform which is why u don’t see it on the other side 😂

True but mfl/bsl are the same mode of transit though

I think bro forgot the Broad Street Line 😉
Bro said every transit in Philadelphia then ends up going to jersey 😂😂😂
Because it's in Philly too
10:33 Rad-noor
4:50 what the-
The correct term is trackless trolley
Thanks for the correction. I supposed it’s just like saying Metro vs Subway, hmm?
Trolley bus sounds better.
